Do you get annoyed when people thinking lying is beneficial?

Since turning 18, I’ve had 3 job consultants write my resume for me.

2 of them put lies on my resume and 3 of them would not let me write the truth, some thought it was a lie, and others thought it would look bad.

An example is that one person tried to pad my resume with fake certificates of job excellence and would not let me write the truth that I averaged 16-20% beyond the class average in the classes I took in university, and got A+ 7 times and A++ twice.

The bible says to trust in God, which to me means you have to believe being biblical is more beneficial than breaking bible teachings.

Picture this scenario: a middle-aged man driving a van with tinted windows rolls up alongside your kid while they're walking home from school. He proceeds to offer them candy, ask them where they live, and offer them a drive home.

Do you teach your kid to be honest with this man, tell him where they live, and get in the van because it's safe to assume that everyone is just as honest as they are? Or do you teach them to keep their distance, *lie* about where they live, and run to the house of the nearest adult that they can trust?

No, because I know it Can be beneficial. There are situations where it can be beneficial and situations where it just isn't.

Happy you want to discuss it. I know it is wrong to be dishonest to people. But I think it is the right thing to do if the truth would cause way more harm than a lie would.

If the truth would be harmful then don't say anything about it. If you must say something best to not say anything you know to be untrue. Time will always reveal the truth sooner or later. What seems like a harmless "white lie" now could wind up causing much harm out of ignorance later.

I think sometimes its beneficial where saying the truth may not be useful. But just little lies. Not a life lie
