What did Jesus mean by ‘the days of pain will be shortened’ for believers?

The way I see it, is that if you use the letter X to represent every large scale unit of trauma or fear. Your suffering might normally clear one unit of X, or unconscious trauma or fear an hour, but God can mass charge your cleansing, so you remove, 8,000,000 X products of fear and trauma an hour, instead of one X a day. This way, a period of suffering that was supposed to last for 8,000 years, could be reduced to decades, years, days, or hours. God helps his children cheat the system by shortening their years of punishment and healing, because nobody can survive, 8,000 years of suffering.

In my opinion, it was a promise to his believers to provide comfort in his power and control. It is a guarantee that sooner or later, all suffering/pain will eventually end; it never lasts forever, as he will spiritually be there to help and console, aswell as physically putting an end to the struggles- by using his control. It is almost a lesson from Jesus to his believers- he chose to cut short the suffering, in turn of his followers maintaining faith in his control and presence; so keeps them in safety. This is actually backed up with evidence, in the greek word ‘koloboō’ with implements of chaos and violence being abruptly ended- - “sudden end to the period of tribulation by divine intervention”. Honestly, i disagree with this sector of it, but some people believe that by shortening the days of pain, Jesus will return once again to prevent the extinction of the human race.
