Is there any reason for good Christians to fight good Muslims?

Quran 5:9 ". When the Sacred Months have passed, kill the polytheists wherever you find them. And capture them, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every ambush. Well, I'm assuming a good Muslim is one who follows the words of Allah. Here we have a verse that clearly says go kill all the polytheists. And Muslims believe Christians are polytheists because of the Trinity. Then I'd say yes

If you mean a good Muslim is someone who thinks this verse is bullshit, or maybe they think this verse simply means to kill their boredom, and I've taken it out of context. Then, no, we don't need to fight them.

I mean the thing that is fuel for conflict between them is: both of them are inherently unable to accept that "what the believe to be real" to be objectively true. Since both ideology contradict one another, they can't ever accept each other view as factually true. So there will always be a fight about what each think is true. They can agree to disagree but yeah. If you start looking at tacts, both will lose cause both are "faiths" that believe things that aren't true. So the facts disprove both and neither of them can accept that.

If the history of the world is anything to go by, then the answer is yes. And that reason is to stop or at least slow the spread of Islam, which, until the last century or so, us Catholics were actually pretty good at it (you're welcome, world). A few notable examples of such are his majesty John Sobieski III at Vienna in 1683, Don Jon of Austria at the Bay of Lepanto in 1571, Baldwin IV at Montgisard in 1177, and Jean Parisot de Valette at Malta in 1565.
