Several years ago, people got dressed up, put on their finest clothes, when going to church.
Many things have changed over the years.
So here is a simple question.

I make up fake stories to excuse ogling at ravishing racks of rapture... or i mean last time i was dragged to church was way before covid. Last time i went to church i was a fap virgin, meaning i have never even fapped until long after i last went to a church. It was a rude awakening that all the hands i shook every Sunday have grabbed at least one dick shortly before and after. Oops. I suppose it means i wasn't dirty minded at all and I dressed normally. But with a method to hide boners when some guest girl i didn't even know would press her back into me excessively. ㅤ
i was surprised at my church when i first noticed people wore jeans. i visited several churches and saw at many protestant they wear jeans.
i made effort to ask 'i wear shorts is it better to wear slacks' they said "not important." of course not reveal skin. but shorts are not just 'okay but slacks better" . the type is not important.
I don't go to church unless there's a non religious event on like a bake sale or a concert. But from talking to more religious friends the attitude these days it's "your church" so you dress as you please, and it's non judgmental about wearing expensive clothes.
I wonder how many people still doff their caps when walking past a church.
Those are Jewish people we don’t wear beanies that’s what they call them Jewish caps
No use to be a Christian thing. Always doff your cap passing a church. Kids would get a clip around the ear if they forget. Only died out because hats fell out of fashion
You’re probably talking about in England the old style where people used to wear hats with their suits like in the Italian days with the mafia that’s different dress hats. That was in the 1950s in America those kind of hats but they’re long gone.
You'll still see tweed flat caps on the elderly and bucket hats are still popular among the young.
The tweed flat caps are for the older boxing trainers that wear those kind of hats into the ring when they are working the corner at the fights 🥊 The bucket hat I really don’t recall too many people wearing those hats, but I have seen them around before. Maybe they wear them more in England I don’t know.
I wear slacks and a dress shirt. That is as dressed up as I get these days. I know God is good with it.
Yes, I always wear either a suit and tie or at the very least a blazer and nice pair of slacks and button-up shirt.
Wear a Tommy Bahama white dress shirt, and black slacks with nice shoes
I usually dress in business casual. I sing in the church choir and always wear a robe that covers my street clothes, so what I am wearing is irrelevant. I occasionally wear a coat and tie, as I am president of the congregation.
I only go inside churches for weddings and funerals, or maybe to look at the architecture
nope.. I got there as god made me, brought me...
I don't go to churches, because they don't represent belief.
They represent human habits and ritualizations only.
@AviatorTom Yes, when I go to church I get dressed
Yes... to show respect
Yes sir 😊
