Pope John Paul II died on this day in 2005. What is your opinion of him?

A quick summary of his life and work, for those interested...

He was born Karol Wojtyla on May 18, 1920 in Wadowice, Poland. He was ordained a priest in 1946, after having trained in secret due to the Nazi invasion and occupation of Poland. In October 1978, he was elected pope at the comparatively young age (by papal standards) of 58 and had one of the longest reigns in history.

In his youth, he was known to be very pious and athletic, and loved theater. His mother died in 1929, then his older brother some time later. His father died of a heart attack in 1941. He participated in secret theater productions in order to keep Polish culture alive during World War II.

As a priest, he had a great love for theology and philosophy. After the fall of the Nazis, the Communists invaded Poland, for whom he was also problematic.

As pope, he upheld Church dogma on things like abortion, marriage, and sexual morality. He also helped bring about the downfall of the Soviet Union. On the other hand though, he traveled too much, approved some very bad appointments for bishops, and made the papacy into something of a celebrity.

There are two schools of thought. The materialistic view and the metaphysical view. You either think consciousness is completely generated by the physical form of the brain. Or, you believe an aspect of our awareness or consciousness exists in the eternal mind, and that the brain receives this awareness in order to be able to interact and live in this physical world.

Bible states more go to Hell than Heaven. The path to Hell is wide and path to Heaven is narrow.

People don't know what you need to do to avoid Hell. Lack of knowledge will destroy you.

This is true because if you know who made it l, then you will know who didn't make it which would create sadness. You are brothers and sisters and no longer father , or mother or son or daughter. Father is a brother , son is brother, uncle is a brother.

You are incapable of doing anything wrong or evil. You know good from evil absolutely and always choose the best option.

You can do anything. Yes, you can make a stone to heavy to lift, and then lift it anyway.

You are all-loving.

Transcendence
The quality of being more than merely infinite. You are both inside the Universe and outside the Universe simultaneously.

Some will become Christians after others are called up. Some will find their faith again after walking away. These people will be on earth for 1000 years as Christ rules.

Who do you think Anti-Christ will be? He is on earth now. Either in Government or Business world.
