So my best friend has been feeling down the past month or so and since I no longer live in the same state as her I can’t physically be there for her. But I am also 8 months pregnant and barely have the energy to do anything even working has been a struggle. We didn’t text for over a week, not my fault she just never responded but read my message. Gets upset today because I didn’t check in on her but when I have been she barely responded.

At the end of the day I feel as though if you’re depressed it’s understandable & I’m giving the best advice I can give. But your situation is not going to go above mine when I’m pregnant and she barely checks on me. Plus she isn’t doing anything to get herself out of the depression so it’s not up to me to solve that problem. She hasn’t asked about me, she hasn’t asked if the baby has been okay but wants this title as a god parent.

In a way she tries to guilt trip me saying well our communication isn’t the same since you’ve been pregnant blah blah blah. Like what does my personal life have to do with YOU not responding. And honestly I have no energy to cater to someone else when we’re both grown and I have a husband and a baby on the & work full time.

I always acknowledge her feelings but today I had enough of the pity party bullshit. And when I told her “ I've reached out to you and you rarely respond now I give you space because no matter what I say or whatever advice I give your going to feel how you feel you need work on your shit” I got no response again. Im mot going to kiss ass or pity someone who just expects someone to always be there when they can’t!

I've known this one guy since HS, I was a freshman & he was a junior (14 years ago). We went to neighbor high schools but were friends on FB. We were really close or so I felt. He was there for me for my first heartbreak my senior year. During that relationship he confessed his feelings for me. After I graduated we hung out a few times at his place never even kissed but we would cuddle. I liked what we had bc I was afraid if we got into a relationship & we didn't workout then I would lose him as a friend too. He meant a lot to me. 3 years passed & I got into another relationship, this one was toxic & I couldnt talk to him much but when my ex & I got into fights I would reach out to him again. I spent the night at his place once too again nothing happened. Then when I was 2 months pregnant I was in a domestic violence situation with my ex & I had nowhere to go so I reached out to him to stay at his place but this time he said no. he was very cold with me. I was so hurt I removed him from socials and didn't speak to him for years. Another 3 years passed & I moved an hour away. He reached out to me wanting to know about my life & if BD was in the picture. He is not. This time he was in a 2y long relationship. I told him I was hurt because he didn't help me when I needed him. he said it was because he was mad at me for being with someone else & having their baby. I mentioned to him I was moving out of state soon so he suggested we meet one last time & said he could drive the hour to me. I said no & used the excuse that we were still freshly into the pandemic. He added me on social media again & then about a year later removed me. I don't know why. So I messaged him & asked if what I posted had offended him, he said no & that was it. But actually it wasn't I figured since that was the end of our friendship I told him I had had feelings for him previously & the reason I never spoke up about it, that I also felt he was all wishy washy with me. Things he did:

1. When my a good friend of mine was in between us in class he would constantly tell him to stfu when he was talking to me
2. He used to make fart sounds with his hands, waiting for me to look at him and make my "are u serious" face to mimic me
3. He got very excited when I finally accepted to work with him once
4. He noticed I sleep a lot and called me sleepy head once when trying to wake me up
5. He literally humiliated himself on the class GC to try to get me to pair up with him for a presentation
6. He remembered my birthday when everyone forgot and reminded everyone
8. Called me once with his friends to ask me help for a work and after the called he said "bisou" (kiss in French) and his friends said "ah yes bisou" and he insulted them
9. Randomly coming up to me to ask me what game I’m playing
10. When I got a haircut he waited until my friends noticed it before telling me it looked cute on me, when I thanked him he puffed out his chest
11. He said a little pasta restaurant everyone goes to is shit but after he saw me going to it he started going there for lunch and when he sees me queuing he straightens up and looks at me
12. Once we had to correct our seatmate’s test and when I tried to give my test to my seatmate they turned back to give it to their friend so he yanked my test out of my hands and gave me his without asking
13. At the very second day back to school he immediately went up to me in front of the school door, I was confused and tried to leave bc he was in a call and it was awkward but he stopped me, ended his call and stared into my eyes while thinking about what to say before we walked to class together
14. Seems to have changed his morning schedule to arrive at school at the same time as me
15. At the queue for a small restaurant he got behind me and kept looking at my phone, talking loud about "interesting facts" (that were common knowledge) with his friend
