I recently met this guy. Seems pretty nice. He has similar interests. Unfortunately, lives a couple of hours away but he wants to eventually move closer to where I live (he lives in the middle of nowhere, I live in a major city, and he's been wanting to move to the major city before meeting me). So I'm okay with the distance...

Then I caught on, he doesn't have a job. He hasn't had a job in four months because apparently, his last job scammed him. He's currently looking for one that pays him well so he can move. I had asked him what about a part-time job until he finds one, and he said he rather not.

He has an associate with computers and was working IT but felt like a drone. I'm kind of at a conflict with myself because it doesn't make sense to only have a 2-year degree expecting to be making salary money while being completely unemployed and a past of him not being able to keep jobs because he simply doesn't like them.

I like this guy but if he's going to be someone who doesn't get a job or at least some kind of income I don't see a stable future with him. But I want others' opinions to make sure.

I'm not worried about him mooching off of me as I'm someone who was raised not to do that (and seen from other's experiences of how poorly it ends).

As of recently, my popularity has dwindled on the dating apps & I’m unsure of the exact cause. Is it my age? As I look the same & I haven’t moved yet things went downhill a few months ago. I mainly use hinge & noticed this drought on all the other apps too, which makes me even more worried considering it seems to be across all platforms. Because of this, I’ve also been second guessing my decision to brush off the guys that previously showed interest in me. At the time I was somewhat interested in a few but either I wasn’t in the mood/doubtful because of negative dating app experiences I dealt with at that time/was too anxious. I question if I genuinely feel regret because this is a delayed reaction or if I’m reminiscing/liking the idea of them since things aren’t going my way at the moment. How can someone be told they’re “attractive” yet quality guys NEVER show them interest in person? If I got attention from these guys from the apps in person, maybe I wouldn’t be as anxious.

29F & I’ve always had this type of deep rooted anxiety when it comes to relationships, I’ve always been a loner & not the friendliest I suppose, to the point where I’m currently content with online/gamer “friends”. There’s this part of me though, that struggles with knowing I’ll never find romantic love. I’m very sure I’m only romantically attracted to men but in a way, I question at times if I really want to be with one long term. Let’s start with: I’m not very affectionate, I don’t trust easily, I get turned off quickly by “innocent” cocky or conceited banter, I’m very antsy about intimacy & not crazy about sex/masturbation to begin with. These might all seem like cop outs because I truly feel the right person will change how I feel about all these “issues”. As a woman I don’t think it’s that rare to not really have much of a sex drive, I keep hearing stories about other women in the same boat that meet their husbands & realize they weren’t “asexual” after all.

Here’s the gist. I’ve been dating someone for about 2 months, things have been alright but the other night we said I love you to each other, I initiated that but wasn’t expecting a reply of the same.
I have feelings for this person clearly but want to make sure that there’s nothing I should be worried about. So I did some digging (I’ve been hurt too many times in the past to not first dig around and see what’s up.).
First thing I find is their dating profile on the site we met is still active. Ok…not promising…
But then I found a profile of them and another person together like a joint profile explaining they were looking to hook up with a third and to contact them if interested.
The other thing I’ve noticed is, my significant other never asks me about my personal life or family, everything is surface. I’ve also noticed they do what I call parroting our conversations. So if I say something they say almost the identical thing back to me or will just ask me the same question I just asked them while trying to get to know them.
Break up or stay. What should I do?
