Try and wait for personality and looks or just go for the 100/10 personality?

About 6 months ago, I had a break up, and it was a pretty bad one. I stopped dating so that I wouldn't hurt anyone or get in harm's way myself, and about a month ago, I found this girl with a 100/10 personality, but looks wise she's a 5 or 6/10. That instantly makes her an overall 8 or 9 in my books.

I'd say my ex was a 8 or something similar in physical appearance, but her personality was 3.

I'm worried about two things, one of them is the new girl being (for lack of a better word) a little uglier than my ex. She would think I'm dating down.

Second thing is also a part of the first reason, if the new girl is pretty, she would critisize her behind her back and spread rumors (yes that's the kind of girl my ex is).

Whats your opinion? Do I wait then? I'm not particularly bad looking, id say I've got good charisma and and pretty in shape too. I don't have a problem with girls at all either.

I think you just gotta go for the awesome personality dude! Looks really don't matter that much compared to how someone treats you and makes you feel.

I mean, your ex was "hot" or whatever but sounded like a total bitch with her 3/10 personality. Is that really worth it just for some extra points in the looks department?

This new girl seems way cooler - funny and nice is so much better than a pretty face that's mean. Who cares what your ex thinks anyway - she's your ex for a reason!

Don't worry about what others might say either. As long as you like her, that's all that matters. Besides, you probably won't even notice or care about looks stuff as much once you get to know her personality better.

I say give it a shot, man! Sounds like she could really be worth it. Don't waste time waiting around for some "perfect" 10 when you already found someone awesome. Go for the real connection, not just surface stuff. Bet you'll be glad you did!

Why do you care about you ex’s opinions though? If she’s 100/10 personality wise then she’s not a down grade from your ex. If you’re still unsure about the 100/10 girl (for whatever reason, in this case it’s her looks) then it means you’re not ready to be with her. If you’re still considering looking for a girl that has both the looks and the personality that suits you then I say just keep on looking for her.

I'm around 6ft (194cm), brown skin tone, messy black and white (peppered) hair, muscular cut upper body, broad shoulders, muscular shaped (not cut but shaped), upside down smile. Blah blah.

Personality girl is a bit above my shoulder, same smile as me, she's not fat nor chubby, brown skin tone, short-medium black hair. Rectangle shaped body (I just googled girl body types).

Ex was literally my shoulder height, skinny, hourglass body figure, also brown, pretty eyes, cute lips, short-medium black hair.
