- born in one of the years of Generation X to both Baby Boomer parents

- supports legalized marijuana laws for individuals 21 and older

- kinda okay with gays, but not fully in-line with the LGBTQ community

- supports freedom and liberation of Palestine (including Gaza)

- hates Israel to the core

- hates guns

- likes electric cars, but really loves gas cars (though he also thinks gas, and especially diesel cars and their exhaust-based pollutions cause cancer); absolutely not a fan of diesel trucks

- originally wanted Barack Obama and Gary Johnson to win in 2012 and 2016, respectively; but now he is a full-fledge Trump supporter -- open and proud of it (except for his stance on Israel)

- super-pissed about California's gas prices (especially in his city)

- a huge fan of celebrities like Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, Madonna, Eminem, DJ Khaled, and Tyrese

- also loves Elon Musk and the beloved Steve Jobs (I'm not sure he likes Bill Gates, though; maybe?)

- cares a lot for African Americans (to various degrees), makes himself aware that they are being oppressed

- sells (used) cars and trucks for a living

- does not care for Ukraine; well, he kinda does, but he doesn't like the current administration (thinks Zelenskyy is no better than Putin!)

- divorced once, married to another woman with two of her daughters (not his own)

- was both strict and cool with me growing up

- became more heavily anti-west due to the conflict with Israel and Palestine

- and naturally, he is anti-war and anti-violence.

To begin with, I have lost track of how many cousins I have in total. I was in touch with my maternal cousins until when I was a 5 year old boy. But that’s a question for some other time. Soon, my family shifted to another state for better living. And I got completely disconnected from all of them. Life continued until one of my female cousins whom I knew as a kid, and her mother came to stay with us for a tour of the city. All I knew about her is her name and that her father left their family and ran away, leaving her mother alone with three kids. Now, she is a 26 year old attractive female. She was quite friendly from the beginning and we went to several places to visit. In one of our conversations, she told me that she didn’t have a boyfriend ever. Which was almost impossible for me to believe. During all of the trips, she held my hands wherever we went and always stayed together except when we were asleep. She would tell me that I look more handsome in-person than in my photos. And I told her that she is indeed very beautiful.

As for myself, I am a 22 year old male and never had a girlfriend nor had anything physical my entire life. That could be because of my upbringing, as my parents are one of the strictest I’ve ever seen and I am not kidding. For instance, I had very limited access to a smartphone, television or even a computer with access to internet till I was 18.

For some reason, I felt that she was everything I have been looking for in a partner. And I did have the guilt. Even when we were sitting in-front of our parents, she kept touching my hands and hair. And our parents also didn’t bother. Cuz we’re family! She seemed like a joyful and carefree adult like in the movies. Life would be easier if there was a person like her with me. Her vacation came to an end and we went back to our lives. I would look at our pictures here and then to remind me of her. It’s been a year since then and I am still trying to find a partner.

My girlfriend is an alcoholic, I have been with her for 5 years and living together for a year.

Her problems worsened around the time of the pandemic and her depression has worsened since then and she has become dependent on alcohol.

She will be fine when I leave for work in the morning but when I come home in the evening she will be semi conscious on the floor and there will be 2-3 empty bottles in the recycling.

Way back (approx 10-12 years ago?) her father cheated on her mother and broke up the family unit. Years later her mother is now back living with the father though they are NOT in a relationship.

We have had numerous interactions with medical professionals and one issue that keeps coming up is the break up of the family caused by her father's infidelity and lying she says "he broke my heart".

I have tried to involve her parents in her recovery by keeping them informed and have asked the father to engage in counselling with my girlfriend to try and get her past this. She had had counselling for this issue for the past decade but he never engaged with her on it and no-one in the family is allowed to talk about it.

Her father has now taken a very aggressive stance towards me since I raised the subject. He has asked me to leave his daughter and suggested she break up with me as I am a 'Toxic' person. My question is do I stay and fight it out to get her the closure I really believe she needs or do I leave which will mean at 35 she goes back to living with her mother and father? I'm at a loss to know as I love her but not the person the alcohol is making her become.
