I recently met a man on a dating app, and things were going great with him initially. Within the last week, he went utterly radio silent in communicating with me (even through text). I confronted him about it a couple of days before our 3rd date, and he disclosed how he had a situation with someone else he was seeing (we weren't exclusive) where it affected him so severely that he didn't have it in him to talk to anyone for that long. I thought that was weird since, on the 2nd date, he disclosed that he liked me and only needed a few more dates before asking me to be his official girlfriend. I didn't see a point in him speaking to other women either since our goal of dating is marriage, and we have similar goals.

I met with him today for our 3rd date, and the date was okay. We weren't as expressive as we were during our 2nd date, but we had good conversations. I asked him about his intentions with me since I was confused about the other situation, and he told me that we were on dates and would see if he wanted me to be his girlfriend. He asked if I told my family about him, which I said not really since he and I aren't in a relationship. Then, he disclosed that he showed a picture of me to his family and told them about me, and they said, "She's a pretty lady."

I don't know what this means at all. I don't know if that's a good sign that he likes me and will ask me to be his girlfriend soon or not. I know he has a good relationship with his family, so I think they might've asked if he found someone, and that's why he showed me, but I'm just assuming. We haven't had sex or even kissed throughout our dates, but that's boundaries we set up to ensure that we are genuinely compatible besides that aspect for now. What do you think?

My ex and I were in a 4.5 year relationship before he ended it about 7 months ago now. His mom and I, while I was with her son, didn't have the best relationship due to external factors like my family's stance on the union and other things since it was an interracial relationship. After the split, she became kind towards me and helped me emotionally/mentally as a mother figure, basically treating me drastically differently than before. She even told me the day after the breakup that she believes her son needs to mature during this time to be ready for marriage with me since we were planning on getting engaged this upcoming year. That obviously should've been kept to herself since I was in a vulnerable place and assumed that he told her that, which led to delayed healing.

Since then, I have met up with my ex's parents a couple of times just because they wanted to see me, and they have treated me with tremendous respect and kindness. They invited me to their home to help paint furniture, and during that time, the mom kept referring to me as daughter-in-law even though my ex and I hadn't spoken to each other in months. We also talked about my healing during that time, and she supported my journey. Her son's birthday was in October, and she asked if I wished him a happy birthday. I said no since he told me that he wasn't comfortable with me communicating with him at the beginning of the breakup. My birthday was in December, and she didn't wish me a happy birthday, but today, she wished me a happy holiday season and asked if I was dating anyone. I didn't respond to her question and was taken aback by it since there was no reason for her to ask that. I have removed him and that whole family from my social medias, so maybe that's part of the reason why? Do you think my ex is asking her to find out on his behalf? Why wouldn't he just message me to find out?

We are dating 3 months, we agreed to exclusively date 1 month into seeing each other.
Around 2 months we became sexual. He's very affectionate in private. He's shy and doesn't do PDA much, but will kiss/hug/hold hands during outdoor walks/hikes.

Before the first date we both said what we want and they align pretty well: marriage, kids and committed long term. This has not changed for either.

We go on dates: morning hikes, drinks at bar, afternoon dog walks etc.
He has no family so I have not met anyone, mine is very traditional (so I can't tell them about him yet), he has casually met some of my friends. He usually comes to me and we are both on tight schedules so honestly haven't felt like sharing him with other people- so we haven't really had a double dates or hanging out with friends.

I've been to his place, mostly he comes to me, picks me up and drives me to date locations, he is good at planning thoughtful dates. He pays for all the dates, and he's a little traditional.

When I brought up "where are we going?" he said he enjoys his time with me and wants to continue seeing me, and get to know me, but didn't want labels yet, I am falling for him and was a bit hurt but given we are still relatively new it seemed fair.

To me everything we do feels like a "relationship" but we are just "exclusively dating".

29F, I’ve been on and off the dating apps for years. I’m under the impression that I want a relationship as I install apps on and off. I’m at the point where I get drained when they’re installed & when I’m not in the mood to reply to messages or swipe on profiles, I end up actually using it every other day or every couple of days. When I’m at the point where I notice I’m not getting as many matches or likes after a couple of months, that’s when I delete & likely going on hiatus. I think deep down I must want something other than validation right? I like men but I haven’t been in a ltr yet, I saw someone for a few months jn my early twenties & haven’t seen someone since bc I refuse to settle. I get interest from guys but it only seems to be on dating apps which I take with a grain of salt, I’m told I’m cute/attractive but never get noticed by guys I like in person (as in actually approached). I’m always told I haven’t found the right person & this may hold truth, I’m reserved & not affectionate/don’t have a sex drive really but feel like that could possibly change if I meet someone. I just worry I’ll feel regret as I’m getting old & still haven’t been in a ltr, I don’t want kids but open to marriage

My husband and I are divorcing after 5 years. 10 years together total. We have a 2 year old together and he doesn’t respect or value our marriage. He has been talking about divorce for a long time now and always try’s to reconcile as I do as well. I thought we were trying to fix things until he asked me for a divorce again. And I found out after he asked for a divorce (2 months prior) he messaged a coworker of mine behind my back flirting and trying to get a quickie out of her. At the time I was in Miami for 3 days having a procedure. When I came back this past October we were trying to get pregnant. Month later he wants a divorce. I also found out he downloaded dating apps on his phone during our marriage. So I’m so hurt that he is telling me now that he feels no connection etc, and is emotionally disconnected. And has been. But why waste my time these past 2 years.. if he could have it in him to get on dating apps and try to have sex with my coworker why did he continue a marriage he had no intention on taking seriously? Even after everything he did I am so hurt and depressed and can’t seem to process even the idea of letting go. Part of me wants to move back home to another state near my family with my toddler (which he agreed to me doing as long as he can have our son in the summers). I just can’t seem to let go, I feel like a failure, I’m still in love, and I’m so scared to just start over again. We moved to Florida away from everyone, built a home, started a life.
