Being fat is not this big shameful thing. All it means is being overweight for various different reasons (depending on the individual person), the same way one might have reasons for being underweight. Some of it may be medical or genetic and not the person's fault!

The fat kid always seems to be the punchline of every single joke.

I myself was never really truly a fat kid but I still don't get why people gotta make fun of the fat kid. It always seemed unnecessarily cruel to me. Besides, shaming a fat kid or calling them a stupid fat kid or whatever is not gonna help them lose weight any faster.

I think they are personally. There’s nothing wrong with encouraging someone to lose weight for health reasons, but if you go around saying people’s bodies are gross, I think that makes you a repulsive individual. We all imperfections. No one is an exception to that. The other side of the coin exists too. Don’t say someone’s abs are gross bc it’s not your personal preference. I think we all need to stop shaming others bodies because they’re different than our own.
