I just saw a video on TikTok where this woman has a theory that most men tend to marry the person who is the physically closest to them (location). To be more clear, say a man has decided that he is ready to start a family and wants marriage. This man probably works a lot of hours so he does not know a lot of women. So the first decent-looking single woman he meets is the one he will propose to. In theory, it is not because he was in love with her but because he was desperate and settled. Is this true?

I also have noticed this. I feel like as soon as a man makes the decision that he wants marriage, then whichever woman he is exposed to the most and happens to be single (not have kids) will be the one he decides to marry. Men don't like to break their heads as much as women who overthink. However, women do this as well but mostly when they are desperate and have limited time/choices.

So I have a profile. My photos are not revealing, not at pubs, etc. They show me doing a variety of decent things, etc. Like playing fetch with my German Shepherd dog

And yet the majority of men who contact me are obviously more after sex than they are after establishing a relationship. It's their rushing/push to meet, something they say, or something else that raises a red flag and when you follow up on that cue makes them unappealing.

Like for example this one guy. He asked me if I preferred to take things slow or "jump right into it". I responded slow... he responds with "you have to let me take you out to lunch Saturday". This was on Friday, we'd talked for a meager 1 day on the site.

I've even had men in entirely different states or provinces message me - I'm on the east coast of Canada & had people from British Columbia, Texas & Florida to name some - asking if I visit the area anytime. There's no pursuit to be a "penpal", and develop a rapport, just feeling out - by the way it's wording every time - if be interested in a hookup & go home.

I listed my used ps5 on the marketplace earlier this week, this is my first time on this platform. I tried listing on eBay but no activity, I got a decent amount in a short amount of time on FB. A lot of foreign people reaching out, yesterday was the first time someone local showed interest that was American. FB doesn’t allow shipping for the ps5 so it’d need to be done on the side if I chose that route, people out of state were paying over listing price & asking for it to be shipped to a freight company in NY that was linked with a lot of scams on EBay. The guy that seemed less suspicious yesterday also had a built profile, he haggled a bit but we decided to meet in person this weekend. He’s okay with cash or any of the apps, people suggested cash is the safest route. He lives close by so I suggested the police station Saturday afternoon. I’m going with my mom & her partner.
