So, I'm new to the online dating thing, and am currently chatting with someone. I've made my chat friend aware that I'm also a few months out of a toxic relationship with a narcissist abuser.
We've only been chatting barely 3wks. Our topics are decent n wholesome, no weird goofy x-rated mumbo-jumbo.
He seems nice, tells me nice things, already wants to meet me, etc. (But that's how all things start, ESPECIALLY narcissists!)
Tbh, agl, I'm curious about him n want to learn more about him.
But due to my past, I'm extremely leery n trying to be sensible about my perceptions, responses.
So my (maybe dumb naive) question is, is how to tell if this guy is legit n safe, n not another abusive weirdo?

There is no way to screen for narcissism online or chat. It’s hard enough to do face-face as they are Masters at disguising their intent. It is impossible without both face and relationship time as friends or whatever.
That's what I was thinking too. Thank you.
By getting to know the person.
Ok thanks. Keeping my guard up!
