The phrase seems to be thrown around a lot and it's fair. Some people are just Doomed Eternally. The ones who have the right people around them to build them up. They better fuckin appreciate where they're at.

Feelings are are to find. I think to fight for happiness you'd have had to have it. Because I've honestly forgotten what that is really. I can smile for thank yous and laugh on other cues. But what is it, that they have. I wish we all knew what we were looking at. Otherwise it's not as important to you as it looks to be for others. It only hurts, that's all. Any happy there hurts. It isn't a big deal to hurt. I don't know why others freak if they're wounding up single. To know you'll never see that smile because it was you. You're buried because you let yourself die a thousand times. Every moment now feels like a lie, I don't want to see me either, because it's not me, I know it's not me here. I'm with them, we're laughing and smiling the fk out of one another. Everything in my head comes out with no apologies. "But the other guy seems so good for her, I'm just stuck in my head". She's there, she's open, she knows. "But she'll regret it". The voices are much more convincing as you get older.

One of my close friends started dating a Narcissist. It didn't end well. She almost took her life. Before they were official she went to visit her best friend and used him as a rebound to get over him, but went back to the narc anyway.

She dated the narcissist's best friend first, had a baby, lost a 2 week old baby girl with him and he left her few months after the burial. She then tried to take her life, soon after she started dating his best friend (the Narcissist) for 2 years, She started using heavy drugs on and off and drinking a lot, left him, tried to take her life again and now is dating her own best friend (the rebound guy) who she has always been using as a rebound. Is this at all normal?

The moment she and the Narcissist broke up she traveled by bus again 5 hours to see her best friend (rebound guy) and slept with him again. Came back and next moment a month after the breakup started dating the best friend (rebound guy) who she says she has known for 13 years. She suddenly loves and have loved him for 13 years but always chose other guys over him in fear of what he can offer her and was running away from him. Describes him as a perfect human and is perfect for her, doesn't judge her and knows everything about her.

The best friend is also a psychologist (Nothing against psychologists) and has major influence over her. We don't think 1 month is enough time to get over everything after a relationship of 2 years. All of us tried talking to her. But she doesn't want to listen to anyone. She pushes everyone away including family.

Ignores and manipulates her own psychologist and psychiatrist about her mental health and go against what the doctors keep telling her to not drink while on the meds but she doesn't listen and the "best friend" doesn't do anything to try and stop her when she does impulsive things. Lets her drink and do drugs.

Is this normal and just a phase, and what can we do to help her? How do we approach this? Any advice at all will be helpful.

Me and my ex were together for some time, after the death of my girlfriend before her.

She kept me comforted and helped me get through it. Once I felt well enough, or so I thought, I wanted us to give it a try. But it became apparent that she didn't love me the way I loved her, and eventually, she broke it off, on good terms.

We contacted eachother now and then, just to catch up on how our families are doing. I asked her how her mom was doing, but instead of a reply from her, a guy claiming to be her boyfriend said "stop talking to my b! tch, I fuck her good".

Hearing that hurt, that message told me all I need to know about her boyfriend, if she considers him so. It tells me that he doesn't respect her, and doesn't consider the act of mating as a special thing that people who love eachother share with one another.

Although, I've moved on from her, and I'm in a new relationship, I invested just a little too much to ever not have any feelings at all for her. But most of them are me wanting her and her family to do well, and it's apparent to me that who she's with now doesn't respect her, and she deserves a man who does.

It didn't seem that she was much interested in talking to me, anyways, so I'll oblige, I won't talk to her, anymore. However, I received a call, and when I asked who it was, he told me it's "my exe's name" new boyfriend, and he said, "Look, my name is" But I quickly cut him off by saying "I don't need your name, my first impression of you tells me all about who you are. I have no wish to speak to you". Before hanging up.

He's made no attempts since then. For me to have such a strong dislike for a person to not even want to converse with them is quite an insult. But I figured that a strong insult, combined with my brushing him off, is all he deserves from me.

I wonder if I let my emotions get the best of me, I'm not an emotional person, but when it comes to love, I can't help but be a little emotional. Was I too mean?

Me (26) and my girl (25) been together over 6 years, first year we were together she cheated on me very cold heartedly. On New Years I was supposed to work the day after so I couldn't make it but my boss let me off last minute so I surprised her at the bar she was going to with her "friends" caught her rubbing her ass on a guy, beat the shit out of him & got kicked out & wait outside the bar 4 hours til it closed and she walked past me with him and went home with him, I went to her house to grab my shit and he answered her door in just underwear. Traumatic af. Day after she came to my house to apologize and for me to break up w/ her and while she was crying in my washroom I went through her phone (she'd cheated on me multiple times with multiple people & fucked him before I beat him up in his hotel room & also secretly had a STI, I tested and didn't have it). Broke up & I hated her for months. Got back together via seeing her at a bar and hooking up, I stated no guy friends, no going out past 1, no hotels w/out me. Years have past and things have been smooth & live together, she's in Law school now & ever since she got in Law school she has forgotten all my boundaries. She's going out to parties and friends houses until 5am, she went on a school trip to a big hotel (majority of the students in her class didn't go too) for over a week (wouldn't text me until the noon after every day) & she has a Mexican girls trip now planned for this summer. I don't want to control her, I feel silly enough and honestly our past haunts me & she knows this because I've made it extremely clear but I don't trust her in those situations and personally I feel like it's avoidable to stay out every weekend until 4-5am & I would be down to go on trips with her too. Is it fair boundaries that If she can't change her current habits of hers I've mentioned given out past or is that unfair?
