Love or commitment?

For me it's commitment. Your commitment shows you love them and want to make it work. Commitment is something you do because you love them. It's a way to support your partner. You are COMMITED to making it work, to being with them through good and bad, etc. It's not always easy to commit to someone, especially if you can be free and selfish, etc. Also how can you say you love someone but not be committed to them? Our TIME and our ENGERY and AFFECTION is one of our most valuable resources and you should only give that to people you care about.

Where I live the hospitals do not have good reputations, in fact the 2nd biggest had a rep amongst locals that if you go in you may never come out. The lack of education & even modernday illiteracy (yes we're in N America) of the locals means that in many ways there is leeway for less adept care than if we were in an area with better educated individuals.

Personally I find generally the care is medicore to subpar (I'm well educated even at my age, come from a medical family too) as I've found a few times that standards of practice anywhere else in the world - or even in hospitals in the same region - aren't done properly.

My father is in the hospital so I am on top of staff making sure of his care. I am not interfering but at same time I'm not sitting on my ass doing nothing & hoping for the best.

Soo makes me wonder in today's day & age when even a high school failure can use google to research medical care - say for example IV lines, when should they be changed - what people would do.
