Sometimes I get “tough love” when it comes to questions, opinions or posts I put up.

Now I can tell the difference between someone who just gets off on being condescending or controlling vs. giving me tough yet selfless advice.

The former will usually immediately throw in insults, labels and almost never offers constructive logic on how to improve or why I might be mistaken. I will never listen to that nor take the seriously. Even if they might be right I will never be won over with insults (who would?)

That latter will take time to read my all the details of my question and will often ask more details before judging. When they criticize they don’t get any enjoyment out of it. Rather they use logic to cogently express how I could be wrong and use facts to back it up. I might not like what they are saying (and can be harsh) but it might give me pause if they bring up good points to support their argument

Anyway I hate to be sexist but I find that women struggle with ego more often then men when it comes to getting criticism on what they want to hear vs. NEED to hear. This is especially true in scenarios that involve cheating.

I also find that women have a harder time taking criticism when a political issue involves logic vs. emotion.

In a attempt to have a healthier outlook on humanity, and to silence my own personal biases about the opposite gender, I would like to get some opinions on how men and women can learn to be allies instead of enemies, I feel society tends to make us think negatively of each other, I’d like to be able to discuss the unique struggles of both genders, show compassion and empathy for each other’s hardships, think how we can make each other stronger if we stop assuming the worst about each other, and learn to value and appreciate each other’s strengths and weaknesses, I’d love to see society start leaning more towards these topics… so I guess these are my questions…
1.) how can we be less biased about the opposite gender?
2.) do you think it’s possible for the majority of men and women to be allies instead of enemies?
3.) what are steps to have a deeper understanding and appreciation for each other?
4.) how can we improve dating / casual sex?
5.) do our preferences in who we date / hookup with reinforce bad habits in society?
6.) as men and women should we oppose double standards?
