We’re currently in a dating app era & the idea behind dating apps seems practical yet you hear more bad than good things about them. Almost 30 & I’ve never been in a LTR, I have accomplished everything I currently want out of life but been able to find a quality guy. I’ve owned a condo & strive to eventually own a home in a few years, are dating apps to blame behind being single or is there more to it (aka am I the issue)? I’ve been told I’m attractive by all kinds of people for a good chunk of my life but I’ve never been approached in person by a guy I’d like to date (getting checked out doesn’t count).
The only times guys I find attractive have acknowledged me were on dating apps, it’s just there’s times where maybe I feel burnt out & can’t be bothered to end up meeting that guy in person.

Or when I feel like I have *options*/ I’m in a mood where I just don’t want to put in the effort. And when the app outlook looks dismal at a given moment (like now), I consider deleting & reinstalling at a later time. I get bored after communicating too long etc, it may seem like self sabotage topped with my terrible anxiety but I’ve never felt SO unsure about something in my life & that *something* is dating. Unsure if my lack of libido/lack of interest in being sexual might play a part (no health issues). There’s always that voice in the back of my mind that makes me think the right guy will change all of that but who really knows. I’m worried I’ll be shriveled up & when I finally have that drive, it’ll be too late to find a match. I heard an influencer say the other day that there shouldn’t be pressure or a rush to date, it’s an opportunity that’ll always be available.

TL; DR: Is dating hard for most? And is my case bad luck or someone unsure of what she wants?

Going to be 30 soon & ask myself why I’m incapable of being in a relationship with a man, people can say that I’m picky but I don’t fully believe I should take all the blame. Female friends I’ve had in the past seem to get dates easier/are okay with putting out & some have unintentionally made me second guess my looks, as they seem to have it easier yet other people have told me I’m equally/more attractive than they are. The last time I “dated” someone was when I was in my early twenties & I’m glad that ended because this guy felt like settling. It justifies that love isn’t blind & it’s better to be alone vs being in a mediocre relationship. I know I’m not all that but I feel like I should be able to attract quality men, all my life I feel like I’ve been invisible to men. I’ve never been approached in person by a guy I’d like to date (don’t count dating apps) & the very few times someone told me that a guy found me attractive (normally a guy I also thought was attractive), they never told me directly & it was always word of mouth.

I feel like I am cursed, that last person I saw in my early twenties was through a dating app & that’s how I’ve met all of these men I’ve met up with. The apps are continually getting worse & they’ve always had a bad rep, getting matches are never an issue it just fails to go anywhere for a number of reasons. And sometimes when I’ve met guys in person & it didn’t work out, there’s just something about them that doesn’t live up to my expectations (even though they look like their pics). I’m unsure if my dating logic is unrealistic, dating apps are the only way for me to meet people & don’t understand how I can be this old & haven’t been in love yet.

The last thing I’ll add is my lack of sex drive, masturbation doesn’t do anything for me & I haven’t had sex since I saw that person back in my early twenties. However, it’s known that some women need to be in a healthy relationship in order to have that *sexual desire*.

When it comes to relationships, which of these are you?

• Champions: well-regarded figures who fight for a cause, representing a side either in a trial by combat or in a legal/moral debate, championing a cause either physically or verbally. In a relationship, the champion uses his/her words to defend and protect their spouse and their families. In terms of "Love Languages" these would be one who provides Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, and Intellectual/Emotional Gifts or Acts of Service. A champion doesn't necessarily have "a type" because he/she seeks to broaden their own horizon while broadening the horizon of their person of interest.
• Heroes: young warriors who get good things done with a sense of fearless bravery, often still "green" or untested in terms of their ability and experience, these young bloods are willing to meet any challenge head-on and with ferocity. In terms of "Love Languages" these would be the younger crowd dabbling in all five love languages till they find what works with their person of interest (so... each language in limited capacities, testing their own strengths/weaknesses) Words/Acts of Affirmation, Quality Time, Offering/Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch (empathetic, romantic and/or sexual). Heroes have some chaotic elements because of their relative lack of experience, but they tend to make up for it with the willingness to adapt/learn along the way.
• Warriors: seasoned heroes whose prowess withstood the test of time... They've overcome a variety of fears, hardships/defeat and conflict. They have resources and understand how the world works. They are fiercely protective of their own and experts at defending others. In "Love Languages," warriors' experience to hone in on their "type", to know what they value, want, need and can offer in a relationship; they are more sure-footed than the Hero, more guarded than the champion, with battle scars from previous relationships.

I am frustrated with my best friend that won't do me a solid...

I am in the midst of getting my claims adjuster license. I just finished my course and passed my practice exam; I am now able to take my final exam. However, my exam has to be done 1 of 2 ways: proctored or I have to have a "witness" someone to be present during my exam that is not a relative, employee, or coworker and fill out an affidavit.

I could do the proctored exam, but my camera quality on my laptop is sh\*t and they need a very clear, decent camera quality because they use facial recognition software for the exam and also, they need to see my DL, (driver's license) and be able to read information off of it.

I've asked my best friend to be a witness for my exam or to let me borrow her laptop to take it while being proctored so she wouldn't have to be present. I even offered the convenience of coming to her home so she wouldn't have to worry about leaving her home or getting her laptop back.

I've asked her twice over text if she would allow me to use her laptop or be a witness for me, and she ignored me both times. No response whatsoever. She just changed the topic of conversation. I don't get to see her a lot because we have very different work schedules, so I haven't been able to ask in person. She knows I am unhappy with my current employment which is why I've decided to take a different career path.

I am p\*ssed off and frustrated. I feel like I'm not asking for much so I don't get why she cannot do me this favor and I have also asked in a very convenient manner I feel like. I feel like she's not being a good friend, mostly by not even giving me any sort of response and saying no. Am I in the wrong for being upset?
