I'm not picking an MHO for this question. If one is picked, it was done automatically. I value everyone's answer on this one and am hoping to learn from your stories. Not sure where this question belongs so I'm going with the first suggestion GaG gives me. If I get it wrong, that is GaG's fault, not mine. I don't think a proper category exists on this site for this type of question.

Think back on where you were in life 10-15 years ago and compare to where you are now.

Did you achieve the dreams you had for yourself back then/are still pursuing them? If not, did you give up? Or did your priorities simply change the dreams you had? If you achieved those dreams, are you happy? If you did not, do you regret not achieving those dreams or are you glad life changed directions?

Are you happy with where you are now?

Do you miss how things were back then?

Are you still close friends with anyone from that time period?

What good changes have come over you?

What bad changes have come over you?

What would you change?

What would you do again?

Finally, the question of love. Did you and your high school sweetheart make it all the way? If not, have you found the love of your life? Or are you happy remaining single?

I'd love to hear everyone's journeys from that point in time until now. Feel free to go beyond the questions I've asked.

It would be too soon if I ran into most women I was romantically linked to in the past. This includes the ones who broke up with me.

I might have been upset about it at the time. But now I look back I’m glad they are long gone. Most of them had no respect for me anyway and there is no replacement for respect. Good riddens.

But there is one in particular that haunted me for a very long time. She broke up with me but I actually wanted her to at the time. I deeply regret how I handled that. It was 10 years ago now and I’ve just haven’t met anyone else like her since then. She was something very special.

Married women are more likely to lean conservative. But does having children (married or not) impact a woman’s political beliefs?

I’ve had the displeasure of encountering a few childless middle aged cat ladies. 9 out 10 times they are far FAR left. What JD Vance said about them “wanting others to be miserable because their miserable” is very true. And if they had abortions earlier in their lives they often secretly regretting it.

Anyway I saw this comical post about never dating a single mother. It’s true there are a lot of pitfalls with that. But one thing is for certain: she choose to keep their child. I do respect that.

So just thinking for all the guys out there. Is it fair guys out women (over 30) in a damned if you do vs damned if you don’t scenario? Like a both sides are undesirable? I’m oddly beginning to believe single mothers might have a better head on their shoulders compared to single cat ladies over 30. The latter is usually extremely far left which is becoming increasingly insufferable.

NOTE: I no longer use the phrase “liberal” disparagingly. Instead I use the term “leftist”. They are not the same thing. A liberal is somebody who truly wants individual freedom. Think of a typical 1960s hippie (not a radical activist) when it comes the phrase “liberal”.

A leftist wants to use the power of the government to censor people and force redistribution. And there are a lot of “leftist” modern women today. They want communism.
