I work a full time job and i can barely afford rent and food. in fact some days i go eating only once to make it through the month. i can't afford to take my girlfriend out to dates like other men do. i don't want her to put up with my inherited broke-ness and everything that comes with it. if she gets bored of not being taken on dates, i won't be surprised if she dumps me and finds someone, who will. I know she's bored and we're not able to be doing those exciting or romantic things, that have to have a price tag.

What was that? I should simply stop being broke?

I tried. getting a 2nd job is not available where i am. Those employers and contractors don't like to see that. They say they want workers with full commitment. my side hustle is in the works but it's a slow process, that i am committed to. it may take off or it may crash but that's where i invested a good amount of money and time to see if it works. I don't have faith in those crappy regular jobs.

- In buying a property he says the prices are going to crash and I’ll regret it - end up on the streets when I can’t afford it anymore. He doesn’t own a property and lives with his mum at 50.
- He says the location is a stupid location if I want status and money. I told him Im not after that and if I was I would have entered investment banking. Then he said I wouldn’t have because I don’t have the qualifications and a friend of his took 10 years to get into that. I said well he got into that. And then he said “yeah but he lost it all during the recession”.

- I said it’s all my life decision and he said you’ll lose your house and then if you were married that’s a divorce and you’ll end up homeless.
- He also said you’ll never reach good pay in your field. He never reached good pay and he retired early after being ill from long term stress. He’s living off savings whilst he lives in his parents house until he claims his pension at 65.

- I told him he’s bitter and he got angry and said he’s not and that I’m an idiot who’s young and I’ll see when I’m his age.

- he always mentions how he’s not married and shackled unlike his miserable friends who are and how he has a gold plated pension and retired early. And how corporate life is bs. But in reality, he doesn’t have a home and just has savings which he’s spending.
