We’re currently in a dating app era & the idea behind dating apps seems practical yet you hear more bad than good things about them. Almost 30 & I’ve never been in a LTR, I have accomplished everything I currently want out of life but been able to find a quality guy. I’ve owned a condo & strive to eventually own a home in a few years, are dating apps to blame behind being single or is there more to it (aka am I the issue)? I’ve been told I’m attractive by all kinds of people for a good chunk of my life but I’ve never been approached in person by a guy I’d like to date (getting checked out doesn’t count).
The only times guys I find attractive have acknowledged me were on dating apps, it’s just there’s times where maybe I feel burnt out & can’t be bothered to end up meeting that guy in person.

Or when I feel like I have *options*/ I’m in a mood where I just don’t want to put in the effort. And when the app outlook looks dismal at a given moment (like now), I consider deleting & reinstalling at a later time. I get bored after communicating too long etc, it may seem like self sabotage topped with my terrible anxiety but I’ve never felt SO unsure about something in my life & that *something* is dating. Unsure if my lack of libido/lack of interest in being sexual might play a part (no health issues). There’s always that voice in the back of my mind that makes me think the right guy will change all of that but who really knows. I’m worried I’ll be shriveled up & when I finally have that drive, it’ll be too late to find a match. I heard an influencer say the other day that there shouldn’t be pressure or a rush to date, it’s an opportunity that’ll always be available.

TL; DR: Is dating hard for most? And is my case bad luck or someone unsure of what she wants?

I know what Indians like. The first girl never had to change her eye colour but the second girl lightened her skin to be considered the epitome of beauty. The first girl gained so much popularity just because her skin tone is naturally fair and guys were comparing her to milk products 😹
I think the Indian beauty standards are toxic because most South Indian people grow up thinking they’re less attractive and many even start hating those from the northern states because it’s a lot more common for us to have at least beige/golden skin. It doesn’t help that most Bollywood actresses/actors who gain popularity among Indians are North Indian. Even South Indian cinema favours North Indian girls but South Indian guys can still become popular out there 💀 So, I’m not going to say it’s great even though it’s easier for me. However, Western standards are more brutal 💀 because it’s a lot less common to have blue/green eyes.

Personally I don't have a bad opinion on plastic surgery, as a lot of people have. I just think that if a person doesn't feel good or secure of parts of her/his body, s/he should undergo surgery, if that help s/he feeling better.

Excessive plastic surgery is something I am against, because it results unrealistic and also because it can be dangerous for people who undergo it several times.

At the same time it can be dangerous given the fact that some people to pay less go to "surgeon" who are cheap and in those cases surgery could be letal, because the surgeon is not a real one or it is a bad one, so be careful to where you go.

However, I am pro surgery if it can help people in changing their image, of course if they want to undergo it, because sometimes plastic surgery can give a big boost to people's confidence, and at the same time I find it good because there are some people who unfortunately had accidents or people who were born with some peculiar features that today are seen as ugly or unaesthetic and surgery can help them. In m y opinion what is important is to not exaggerate.

I have never thought to undergo surgery, I think I should accept me for how I look, and if I want to improve there are other ways to do it. The only thing I would try is lip filler, because it is not a surgery, it is not invasive and most of all the result is not permanent, so if I don't like the result I could dissolve the filler or wait for it to dissolve alone.

Personally I find extreme surgery scary more than well made or badly done ( image 1 and 2), but cases like pic 3 are very natural and feel good in my opinion.
