The Nostalgia Files: Favorite Books From My Childhood (And Probably Yours Too!)

Reading has always been one of my favorite things to do. I started at age 4 and haven't stopped since. There are so many books that I remember from my childhood, but I these are just a few of my favorites. So let's take a trip down memory lane!

1. Where the Wild Things Are

I remember wanting to go bed early after reading this because I wanted the wild things to come out and play with me lol.

2. Miss Nelson Is Missing

I actually had a substitute teacher that looked just like the one from this book. My mind was blown that day lol.

3. Corduroy

This was one of the first books I learned to read by myself. I was so proud!

4. Chicken Soup with Rice

I can still remember reciting this book in school while learning the months. I have a copy that I use to help me with some of the kids that I nanny. Such a fun book!

5. Oh, The Places You'll Go

The Nostalgia Files: Favorite Books From My Childhood (And Probably Yours Too!)

This is my favorite Dr. Seuss book. I was about 10 the first time I read it. I found it in my older sister's room when it became mine. Even though it still had the rhyming words, there was a different tone to it. I'd come home from school feeling defeated from being bullied all day and read it. And I'd imagine all the places I'd could go to get away, and all the places I'd go when I got older. It always made me feel better. I still have it.

I kept the list short because I'd be naming books for days! I hope that this brightens your day and takes you down memory lane like it did me. As always, stay classy GaGers! See you guys on the threads! 😎 ✌ ❤
