Help stop the dog and cat meat festival!

In yulin China on June 21 there will be a a huge festival which is all about dog meat and now becomming more popular is also cat meat. The president and gov doesn't give two s**ts about it. They just overlook it. There are activist groups trying to get their voices heard and doing all they can to save these innocent animals. These dogs and cats are often stolen and taken from families that love them. Some are boiled alive, beaten and skinned alive. They are tortured. People ignore the whimpers of these animals. Please help stop this post to social media with the hash tag #stopyulin2015. There are many petitions on stopping this horrible and inhumane and cruel tradition. Just google yulin 2015. Im not telling you to become a hardcore animal rights activist but please most of love dogs and cats even if your not a huge fan of them would you really want them treated this way? They don't have a voice we must and need to be there for them. What if this was your best friend being snatched from your family and going somewhere like this? DO SOMETHING!

BOTH ARE EQUALLY BAD. Both are animals, both feel pain, both are important.

People eating chicken, fish, cows, all kinds of animals... but don't eat dogs because everybody will lose their shit!

I admire you for bringing this up!! We need to stop this instead of worrying about some of the other stuff the media obsess over now days. It's pathetic that the media here in the states can only focus on racism and other somewhat important topics. The media needs to be g up stuff like this! So thank you!

I don't get it. We eat steak and it's not a problem for us. I don't think Indians find it funny. Should we stop because Indians think cows are sacred? Why should they stop eating dogs if they like it? It's their culture not ours. We are insulting their culture by doing that.

@julyandrews i hardly eat meat but i wouldn't consider myself a vegetarian. while i do agree that the cows need to be taken care of i also think that we should take care of one issue at a time. if we're already on this topic then lets take care of this first then move on to the cows and chickens. if we worry about a million things at once we won't be able to take care of all of them.
