Why you might be a feminist and don't know it

Feminists want gender equality socially, economically, and politically for men and women. They don't hold biases for one gender over another in gender issues. If you think men and women should be treated equally socially, politically, and economically, then you are a feminist by definition. You might not of known that you are a feminist because you associate the anti-men girls in the media (who aren't feminists) with being a feminist. If you don't believe in that kind of equality, then you are not a feminist.

Feminists ARE NOT the anti-men girls you see in the media. Those aren't feminists, they are extremists who are mistaken for feminists. A lot of America thinks thats what being a feminist is or relates feminism with only caring about women.

Feminists want gender equality, just equal everything. But girls who are anti-men or try to put women above men, give them more rights then men do, and have an unfair bias for women in gender related conflicts & issues, claim to be feminsts on TV. (They aren't)

Which gives most of the population the impression that femists are anti-men or are always biased for women in any gender issue. That causes people to claim their not feminists or even not respect their opinion, because literally not matter what the issue, they side with women, rational or not.

In reality, they are not feminists. They are no better than the men who tried to keep women down in society in the old times. If you hold bias for women and go against men in almost every issue, then you're not a feminist, im sorry. Examples of their beliefs are lowering the physical standards for women for the military or activity that requries intense physical ability to do, thats predominated by men because of that, or forcing American football teams to have girls on their team, given that the girl wasn't good enough, or they had to have at least a certain number of girls or they would lose the program. Or I've even heard that there were "feminists" that were trying to ban men from claiming sensual assault, I'm not sure if that was credible or not but anything along those lines and every other issue like that, where they're giving women an unfair advantage, making a ridiculous claim, or trying to surpress men, thats the "extremists", not feminists. A feminist would look at it differently and want to treat them as equals.

They would get more done and have more support if they emphasized this. Or at least removed the extremists from the movement, because thats what we see the most, is their opinions. They should make some announcement that distinguishes their extremist views (that aren't feminist views at that point) with their real feminist's views.

No, the dictionary definition of feminism is not the reality of it. Equality, by definition, means balance between two things, not just one. We cannot seek equality between those two things without understanding and caring about both. Feminists only care about women and women's issues while denying and minimizing the ones men face. That is NOT equality. In the western world today men face just as many problems as women, and arguably more.

You need to spend some time studying and observing what feminists actually do rather than only what they say. Their actions are the only thing that matter.

Academic feminists are the most dishonest of all. You need to step outside the pretend world of academics and into the real world, where mainstream feminism is far from the definition you were taught. Reality is all that matters. Get some.

But look at it this way, can you agree a white supremist is a person who beleives the white race is superior then the others and is racist against the other races.

So what if a group of people started a movement to end all racism in america and said they dont believe one race is superior than another. Theyve never had a racist thought in their lives. And they claimed to be a white supremacists movement.

Answer these two questions.

1. Are they white supremacists? Or are they people who dont beleive the white race is superior than the others?

2. In this case, does that mean white supremacy is now a meaning for racial equality? Or does it still mean what white supremacy and white supremists mean now?

So in your example, let's say this group of yours fights for the interests of one race at the expense of others, blatantly ignoring and in fact denying the interests of other races. Now, who cares what they call themselves or what they say they stand for? What the DO is all that matters. That is precisely what feminism does. Don't be a fool.
