Types of criticism & dealing with them

Criticism, something we all hate. I always hated criticism and I still do. I have faced tons of criticisms and dealing with bullying has added more, I am still young and I believe in life I will face even worse but I am still going to write this topic for my first mytake and see what others think. Before ya'all go and say "you should learn from criticism" and stuff. No my life isn't a buisness or some sort of movie which needs criticism from others. I will do what I feel is right. In my opinion criticism and advice are two different things. If this article somehow butthurts you, my advice would be to leave the page because I am going to keep this non anon and I will eventually block you :)

This may be little long because I want to keep this myTake equal for both guys and girls.

1. The judgmental criticism

"Don't judge a book by it's cover" the most common phrase I hear but yet there are people around with their "godly" features who will pass comments on how you look or dress. I have seen many youtube videos where girls post their experiences with makeup shops like Sephora. These type of people always manage to disgust me.

Guys who are not from good financial background or are fat often face bullying and fat shamming. The recent one I have heard is that in Pakistan if you're dark skin colored guy/girl you're most likely to face physical bullying and social bullying. I heard this from some girl who has read autobiography of Malala Yousafzai.

The pic below belongs to a guy name Ephraim he is friends with few people I am acquainted with, I cropped out his pictures for privacy reasons. He was victim of fat shaming

2. The "constructive" criticism

Growing up with a father who reads book all day and is still pursuing for more education on his weekends, people always call him up for his advice and he advices some of their decisions if needed. I realized the difference between his advice and criticism is that in advice the concern for the person can be heard whereas criticism is more likely harsh. To be very honest you don't need to listen to someone's criticism if you don't agree with it.

I have seen a lot mean grammar nazis bringing down people on social media on facebook who make small grammatical mistakes. In their defence they want to "improve" the person's grammar and the person should be prepared to face criticism if he is posting something on public forum. If you want to improve someone's grammar that's cool, but I don't see the improvement when you spam their status wall distracting the entire freaking status.

And to be very honest that guy is not writing his English exam that he has to carefully think on a two sentence status so that people like you won't bring him down. No one does English on the internet esp on facebook.

I have to admit it girls are more likely to do it than boys, not generalising just saying from the experiences. This is my response to them, you see a guy making mistake you understood what he said, say thank you and move on. You're a girl not an autocorrect with female genitals. Same goes for men ofcourse.

3. Hate

Types of criticism & dealing with them

It feels bad to admit but hate is a type of negative criticism. This is also known as cyberbullying. For whatever reason they do it's not justified. I have seen so many hate comments on youtube and some people post shit about others on facebook. If you don't like a youtube video there are various other options like disliking the video or simply closing your browser tab, as simple as that. You don't need to take all the trouble to tell the person how bad they look or how stupid they're. That's equvivalent to cyber bullying and people who make videos are humans too. Ofcourse comments aren't the only one, there are videos made also targeting these people like the infamous Brampton girl.

I will never understand how people waste their time making videos or writing hateful comments. I mean if you don't like it, don't watch it or read it. Of course some people do it because the content itself is spreading hate then it's justifying why people are so against it.

Anyways, there are many other criticism based on profession and business which are completely out of my field so I am not going to mention any of those. This was my first mytake and I hope I've kept this short enough. Thank you for taking your time reading this!
