Why do some guys assume that every girl is a Feminist just because her opinion pissed them off?

I'm getting real tired of some guys on here accusing a girl of being a Feminist just because she has an opposing opinion especially when they never said they supported feminism to begin with.

Being a girl does not automatically make a person a Feminist.

I see online all the time: Facebook, youtube, twitter, girlsaskguys, instsgram. I will just be looking at the conversations and if a girl disagrees with a guy some guys will say "Stupid Feminist!" or "Triggered" or "Feminist!" I mean really.

I am perfectly aware that not only men do this. Some women do this too but I have seen this mainly from men.

Why is it ok for some guys to blatantly retort with calling some one a Feminist but if some one assumed something about them they get mad and tell them they are a bitch for assuming things?

I personally only assume someone (man or woman) to be a feminist when they present the typical feminist arguments or when they speak female supremacy stuff or even use the typical feminist shaming tactics. If someone is a feminist but doesn't present the typical feminist symptoms, I would never know and thus never accuse them of being feminists. The problem with many people who oppose feminism is that they don't present their arguments properly and what really gets into my nerve is when they start speaking misogynist stuff or why they're so awesome because they're MGTOWs. Because unfortunately, they're the first types of people that feminists pick to show as their opposition which of course gives feminism more followers if the opposite side is presented as misogynists. They think their bashing feminists while in reality they're providing feminists with the means of a perfect propaganda... and of course ruined people's perception of MGTOWs and gave them the reputation of being misogynists. The core ideology is for a man to simply focus on improving and building himself up, which I see nothing wrong with. But, alas, it's not thought of that way.

You are probably reffering to people who are against what they call 'feminazism'. And that, while it's not a very popular name with us gals, is a questionable deviation from what feminism once was and what it was supposed to be.

Wait a minute there. I don't entirely disagree, but it's not much different from how a lot of girls accuse guys of being "butthurt" just because they didn't agree with her.

I think the biggest difference is that "butthurt" is just a stupid way of calling someone immature/sore loser (also not always accurate), and "feminist" puts a stigma onto the whole feminist movement. If someone doesn't agree with you and you call them a feminist, you are implying that the feminist movement exists to cause disagreements and does not actually stand for anything. It's also saying that whatever the person just argued about is in line with the feminist movement, which may not necessarily be the case.

What feminists truly want is equality for all genders. Media and extremists have given feminism a bad wrap.

I'm sorry that feminism has been portrayed so poorly that you can't feel supportive of it. I encourage you to support equality among all genders, even without putting a label on yourself for it. What's most important is the quality of support, not the title.
