Your body is your temple. You work hard at mainting it and taking care of your self. You should think highly of your body. It's not something you should put out or show off so easily. Not everyone should get the privladge to see it. It might be just me but the only one who gets to see me as naked as the day I was born is my significant other. Someone who loves me for not only how I look on the outside, but my inner beauty as well.

Each women is capable of making her own decisions. It is her choice how she wants to display her body. The issue I have is those who claim they are doing it because they feel empowered. Why do women think posing nude is empowering? Because no one told you to do it? Why do women assume that is what is expected of them.

I guess empowerment isn't about equitable allocation of resources, or influence in polictics and policy, or any sort of pwoer at all. I feel like the term has become a empty catchphrase women use to jusitfy their actions so they can do whatever they want without being judged. Soon killing someone will be ok bc the murder will claim it's empowering. it's like when you add the words no offense to the end of a negative statment. It doesn't cancel out the negatve impact.

When women pose naked on the internet. They are just, naked woman. On the other hand. If women in power used their influence to post their achievments to make the world a better place, fight hard to protect the morals of the young, guide boys and girls so they can flourish and excel and sacrifice all for the better good, they become more than a naked women on the internet. They become a example to follow, a role model.

Part of having Self respect is how you carry yourself. Showing off your body like it's a piece of meat is degrading. Women have done many amazing things over the years such as built empires, run mulit dollar busineses, fought in wars, fought for freedom for future generations but no one sees all that. If you want others to see your more than just a body then stop showing them that is all you have to offer. For example kim kardashian. She is a amazing and suceesful business women but no one sees that bc when they hear her name they think of sex and her body bc that is how she constantly displays herself.

There are those who claim they are just being confident but I don't see how posing nude promotes confidence. All it promotes is the idea that phsycial beauty = value. Confidence doesn't come from body image. It comes from how you feel about yourself, true confidence comes from developing your character. It omes from knowing you have value that isn't based on how you look.

Real beauty is showing that your worth knowing as a indvidual not because of how much skin you show. Covering up your body is true confidence. I think those who pose naked are insecure and do it for validation.

So if your going to pose nude, that is your choice. If you feel sexy and want to show off your body or show off your hard work then do it. If you really feel empowered and confident then own up to it and stop trying to claim posing nude is for the greater good.

Not saying I think posing nude is a good idea, but lets face it, men are attracted to beauty. It's simple biology.

The vast majority of people don't really care about wealth or power or fame. None of that makes you happy. What makes people happy is relationships with friends, family, and especially a significant other to share your life with. I can see where you are going with this - I agree with you to an extent in thinking sensationalist glamour poses for wider audiences are just self promoting a la Kim Kardashian and serve no purpose.
On the other hand you could have women with mascetomies or the PETA campaign "I would rather go naked than wear fur" who pose nude for a purpose.
That is a wider scale but on a more narrow scale, I don't think we can restrict people who show nudes to close friends or people they are interested in (with permission). That is their personal choice. I do somewhat agree with you on this, however, I do on occasion get dressed up (showing legs, low cut top) and go out. I don't wear the clothes I wear for others but rather for myself, for example I have nice legs so when I wear say a skirt that makes me feel good about myself and therefore confident. I didn't mean it to come off as self absorbed. I just meant that women and men should love there bodies no matter there shape or size and so what if it comes off as self abosrbed. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and it's time people realize it. They shouldn't have to feel the need to bare it all to prove that.
