Disagreeing respectfully =/= treating them with intoerance or hatred, so my answer would be 'no.'
That said, people who actively dislike the LGBT community need to get a life. lol
Disagreeing with LGBT does not make you a bigot. Being a bigot requires being intolerant. In this case how one defines intolerance witll determine bigotry. However using homophobic, derogatory speech and especially violence does make you a bigot.
No, I have argued with gay people, sometimes they need a talking to. Good luck calling me whatever, I don't care. I speak my opinion to black, white, and yes gay.
They respectfully do it, so no. By definition, bigot means being intolerant of those that think differently of themselves.
They're not being intolerant of others.
"bigot means being intolerant of those that think differently than themselves". If that's the case we had an explosion of "rainbow" bigots in the last few years.
@sdistotallyme Except those people were probably against those who outwardly tried to stop the LGBTQ community from having rights. That's not bigotry, that's self defense against bigots
I don't think LGBT people should be given the right to marry. No one should be allowed to get married. It's a raw deal for both spouses.
Even if it does make you a "bigot," who cares? It's just a socially constructed word designed to shame people that society believes have bad beliefs. Atheist used to be a dirty term, too. Now, its more socially acceptable. The same may be true of bigots one day.
I wish it was social backlash. However there is REAL persecution and backlash for speaking your mind if it's contrary to the LGBT social agenda. Take Phil Robertson for example (of Duck Dynasty). He quoted scripture to express his disagreement with gay marriage. He did say "kill all f-gs, or God hate f-gs. He quoted the bible. He got fired (but later reinstated). I personally can't speak my mind on my facebook page. Not because of fear of "offending somebody" but because I signed an agreement with my employer that they would do a full background check on my social media profiles. If I say something that offends a liberal manager... they chalk that up as "hate speech" and have me terminated. Although I have never written violent or hateful things about the gay community (I do disagree with them though). The LGBT agenda has an INCREDIBLE amount of power.
I dont think it makes a person a bigot if they disagree with that life style.
So what you're saying is they're basically still bigots, but just have different arguments now.
look if you don't agree with the world you will be disliked
that's why GOD said don't love this world it is not our home
we are just passing through
AMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN !!! Omg this is so real and i completely agree with everything. Everyone wants to go along with whatever the world is doing not to be hated and because they don't want to voice their words they'll try to do anything and everything just to blend in with this conformed world we live in today. Glad you said this omg touched my heart.
No, not a bigot, just stupid, ignorant, and annoying.
Does it make someone a bigot?
Only in the delusional and insane minds of social justice warriors.
depends what the argument and supporting evidence is.
I don't get why the left is pushing this disgusting notion that the past black American struggle is on par with lgbt "struggle".
Yepp, trying to get in the way of someone else's rights does make you a bigot, and there's no such thing as doing that "respectfully".
A concerned individual can be a bigot.
The KKK are convinced they have good logical reasons for their beliefs.
There have been at least three posts on this thread about the "KKK". Seriously, what relevance does that group have in 2016? This post isn't even about racism, its about the LGBT agenda.
I don't like the KKK any more than you do. But seriously this is kind of liberal "hush word" and twisted analogy bs that makes me more conservative. It's the reason Donald Trump has gotten so popular. I don't even like him, but all those simpleton idiots who spew insults such as "Nazi", "KKK", "HItler" are REALLY what the conservatives are angry about. Until Trump murders 8 MILLION people quit calling him "Hitler".
@sdistotallyme the reason people keep mentioning the kkk is it's the exact analogy the question asker used and asked about.
Ah I see. Thanks for clearing that up
i have an opinion on who people fuck. i just don't go out of my way to express that opinion.
I don't support gay marriage and I've never been called a bigot but I've been called intolerant and homophobic
Well, like I said it's all about why you're against it
true
Definitely not. To me when someone calls someone else that it mean that don't have anything to back it up with,
I wouldn't say so from the title, sometimes the abrasiveness is a form of an individual coming to terms with something their not used to
Can you be so kind and tell me what's "LGBT " ? Lol
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Trans. I inclued QA on the end, which is Queer/Questioning (anyone who doesn't fall under the labels mentioned/questioning who they are) and Asexual
@FallOutBoy2001 ahhh thank you very much 😄
