1. Unlike what society likes to believe, not every person who puts makeup on does it because they're insecure

It just annoys me so much that people criticize me or judge me, because they think I think I'm ugly, and that's why I put makeup on. I look equally beautiful without makeup, and I'm not using it to feel better about myself, and I think many can agree.

2. Women don't wear makeup for men, they do it for themselves

So the next time you're gonna say "don't put red lipstick on, men hate it" or "women who cake their faces with makeup won't get any man", consider punching yourself instead.

3. Speaking of which, many also don't wear makeup to get an approval from society

No, I don't put makeup on to fit society's standards. I put makeup on because it's my decision and I enjoy doing it. In fact, I never wear makeup when going to a public place, only when I'm alone at home and I can practice and try new things. Calling women who put lots of makeup on "desperate to be accepted by society" is so fucking pitiful. Unless you know the person, stop making false statements.

4. It's not just about beauty, is a form of art

Many people underestimate how much talent and practice you need when it comes to makeup. In fact I was doing makeup since I was 14, it's been nearly 6 years and I'm still not the best at it.

5. As it is a form of art, in many cases it doesn't have to look 'normal'

Admit it, the ability to create art on your own skin is pretty damn impressive.

6. It's also really fun to do

Sometimes I would apply lipstick and remove it just so I could apply it again, mess around and try different types of colors and shapes, it's really an adventure.

7. Boys with makeup on look so goddamn hot, so stop shaming men who also find interest in it
