i had a red pit bull, half chow mix. actually she was my sisters. and she was sweet to us, but protective of her pups. they aren't monsters. it's bad owners that make them that way.
in my opinion pitt bulls are a VERY misunderstood breed of dog, I have known people with pitts and they were affectionate and cuddly (yet still protective).
I know they do. King (my pit) was a few weeks away from being euthanized because no one wanted to adopt him since he's a pit. I also own a black cat and they're also some of the first cat's to be euthanized because they're the least adopted due to peoples stupidity and superstitions.
I agree with you on everything except the part where you said Rotties have the highest bite force. Mastiffs were proven to be at 556 and many other dogs such as Tosa Inu and Kangal are said to be over 500.
@jacquesvol You are completely missing the point, i simply pointed a fault in her report which was truthful, there is nothing more to that, i don't what is the motive of your response.
Sorry but i dont buy it. Its always a monster and an enemy to me. Any animal that can kill you in less than a minute shouldn't be a pet. Any animal that might ve stringer than you and eats flesh should not be a pet. Prevention is better than mourning the dead
Not all people are intelligent. I've been around pitbull my whole life and they are some of the sweetest and smartest dogs around. Not pitbull are brutes. Maybe you encounter the wrong pitbull.
@matt1209 This is taken from the site dogaholic, they are not my words;" Pit Bulls have been bred for fighting, nothing else. They are built to a T for fighting, and every single ounce of effort has gone into making this dog the perfect fighter."
"This dog/s body manages to exert so much power, that a pit bull jumping full power on your chest is the closest you can get to being hit with a cannonball and surviving."
Now they are exaggerating, but you get the point. They are a breed created from bulldogs and terriers to combine strentgh and game/skill. You are left with a dog stronger than most men and is a born fighter. Anything that dangerous, shouldn't be walking the same path a child walks on. Gentle or not, at least put that lid thing on its mouth.
I was talking about muzzle. Put a muzzle on that dog. The german word was maulkorb, but i didn't know the English one. All dogs above a certain size/strentgh should have one.
Answer what? I dunno i used to very scared of them as a kid and i got over my fear, but i still dislike the biggerand aggressive ones. Thesmall ones are sometimes cute, i admit.
Ok I can see your point on having a muzzle on its mouth when walking it in public. Maybe the penalty should stiffer on these people who are abusing these pitbulls abilities.
@matt1209 Definitely , people who abuse animals should get penalized. ( i know this sounds a bit cheesy for a guy who dislikes dogs, but i dont go around hurting dogs. Its wrong to abuse any living animal , especially for trivial reasons)
Sorry, I couldn't leave this alone. I was sure I'd seen your name before and I'm just causing a stir, but this it pretty funny. "the time my uncle tried to behead a goose for us to eat later, but he didn't quite cut through and it struggled a lot before dying.. I found it brutal how he and my dad laughed it off and went back to work. Later on you realize, its not really evil, you just have to get used to these things." - Slimstiffy "Its wrong to abuse any living animal , especially for trivial reasons." - Slimstiffy hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe Block me, ignore me, don't reply, it's up to you. Don't mind me, I'm just being a dick LOL
" especially for trivial reasons" You wouldn't call killing and eating someone, because of palate pleasure, when you could've bought plants and hurt noone, trivial? Ooookay then.
@Flex4Ever no i won't. and so does the majority of people. really man , im tired of saying ill pick delicious goose over grass. i tought we had another thread for that. but im glad you did track me down. you do have some hunter instinct after all :-D
Trust me, I didn't track you down, it's just difficult not to notice the bullshit you spew. Yes, of course I did. A goose, a mouse, an elephant, a human, a dog, an eagle, a shark, I don't differentiate between any of them. They all have a life that they want to live, neither species, intelligence, purpose or anything changes that. Don't bother replying, I won't waste my time reading your response.
yeah.. looks like this might be regular occurrence. he is ptobably teh complete opposite of what i am. like the yin to my yang. some deep shit like that
Sry didn't complete.. " the pitbull hasn't bitten anyone yet" Do you have any idea how scary that shit sounded? Well if it does decide to bite someone, whats the worst that could happen , right? The victim would probably only die right. So lets just keep walking around with these grenades then... Smh... Will you be a ble to hold him back if he decides to maul someone? In my opinion only musclebound fellas , 250 pounds and above, with a strong grip, should be allowed to walk them.
Hmm and how big is the poodle? If the poodle already bit 3 people, things dont look good. What if it bites as well? And opie, i read the stats. I just dont believe them. I dont believe them for one second. I know a threat when i see one, and that thing is far from nice.
Yeah. See, and its bite must still hurt right? How do you think the people bitten felt? And what if it was a pitbull that bit them instead? Im sure it wilould ve a lot worse. Im sorry, but if the poodle bit 3 people , it doesn't look like your uncle is very careful with the dogs. And opie, ill go with what i see and hear on the streets rather than ehat i read on the net.
Most of them agree good. You just have to take the proper time and train them early!!! Sometimes dogs are untrainable tho. There is evil dogs lol but a very rare circumstance where the owners should of token a stand right away and didn't.
Because the take was really long I didn't read it and I don't know anything about these dogs but I don't think that they are very aggressive or something. I think it depends on the dog and his history.
I dont like them still. They are big dogs wants to live in nature. If you feed him in flat or narrow places they will be agressive. So they musnt be a good choice for a city life.
Well then why don't the "good people" in your area do something like take these dogs in and treat them like you would any other large family dog with love, care, and respect?
@xXiTacoXx The "good people" in my area just don't want to look like those pittbull owners. They don't want to spend lots of money on specialized trainers.
I don't ask to terminate that kind of dogs, I just ask to *stop breeding* them. 15 years and the pittbull problem is solved humanely, no more children and other dogs mauled, no more people attacked. We could have started that 15 years ago and it would be done.
You talk about not wanting to terminate them but you want to stop breeding them to the point where they no longer exist. Do you not hear yourself right now? Are you really that stupid? It doesn't take specialized trainers it takes love and some god damn care.
@xXiTacoXx Not only pit bulls are a problem. The problem are people breeding animals to attack humans and other people buying these, training them as attack dogs: that goes as well for a Staff or whatever aggressive breed. Stop the breeding and there's no problem within a generation.
It's not only pittbuls, zalso Staffs and Rottweihlers. Just stop the breeding. Who in his right mind would consider to breed piranhas, mocassins, vipers or cobras?
what you suggest is like saying, because a family raises kids to be rapists, murderers, or assholes in general that we stop all parents from raising kids
no you simply do something about the bad parents.
pit bulls who are aggressive are so not as a result of their breeding but their training by owners. a pit bull isn't born to kill it is trained. so do something about the trainers rather than exterminating an entire breed of dog
@madhatters4 Disagree. Theyr not trained. Its their nature. And they are aman made breed. Better if tha breed dies out along with all violent dog breeds
@slimstiffy you can disagree but you are wrong. they may be man made but tons of breeds of dogs, cats, etc are. and their breeding doesn't make them violent even the authorities on domestic pets the AVMA has stated that "that breed is a poor sole predictor of dog bites and that controlled studies show no increased risk in pit bulls"
@madhatters4 Yeah i dont buy it because whatever the AVMA is, they are probably a bunch of liberal softies who try to keep it pc. And you can breed a dog to be more aggressive. doesn't mean every single dog will turn out aggressive. But i dont want a thing with that jaw and such neck muscles to be aggressive. Id rather take on a poodle. That way i dont have to kill them or die if a fight ensues. They belong in a zoo.
@BaileyisDarcy No. Not even close. Nowhere near close. Thats like saying a 50 kg dude can kill you as easily as a 110 kg dude ( of similar fitness, without weapons.) maybe for a thoroughly trained small guy and a lame big guy. but on average, hell no! You have no idea about physical strength, do you?
Yes, i read it. I know that many owners are very irresponsible, but this is what I think. Pit bulls are not comparable with any other breed of dog in terms of what they're capable of when they are not trained. people are never gonna stop being irresponsible with them, so the dogs turn into deadly weapons..
I was talking to my mom about dogs and this topic came up. She loves pit bulls and she think's they're very noble. Apparently, she had one a long time ago. So… I'll give them a chance and agree that they're misunderstood.
Who created Pitbull in the laboratory? USA. İs Pitbull natural? No. Are people believe that USA is a good country? No. Are USA people do good things in the world generally? No İs pitbull legal? No My answer is Pitbull is a monster.

I agree
As a pitbull owner seeing these comments makes me facepalm so hard. x. x
I know. I'm tired of people saying they're mean, aggressive. Blah blah blah. Most of them are super sweet actually and they rarely get adopted. :(
I know they do. King (my pit) was a few weeks away from being euthanized because no one wanted to adopt him since he's a pit. I also own a black cat and they're also some of the first cat's to be euthanized because they're the least adopted due to peoples stupidity and superstitions.
I used to have a black kitty too. Her name was April but she died a few years back.
I agree with you on everything except the part where you said Rotties have the highest bite force. Mastiffs were proven to be at 556 and many other dogs such as Tosa Inu and Kangal are said to be over 500.
Thanks I'll add that in.
Classifying dogs by "bite force" is like classifying guns by "destruction on impact".
@jacquesvol You are completely missing the point, i simply pointed a fault in her report which was truthful, there is nothing more to that, i don't what is the motive of your response.
1st pitbulls are the cutest ever.
2nd if u train a dog to fight it's gonna fight. No one says anything about German Shepard's
Aren't they?

Ehhh. Thanks for reading anyway. ✌️ I love all dog breeds.
Pitbulls are damn near the most harmless dogs you can come across.
@MrDetermined
Prejudice? Maybe.
Irrespibsibility? Hell no. If anything, im being responsible.
Yeah thanks. I guess we are dufferent in that. I dislike dogs. Especially the bigger and aggressive ones.
@xXiTacoXx
Not from what i have seen and heard.
I loved dogs.
I'm sctually allergic to dogs but I would sit down and let stereotypes run my mind.
@xXiTacoXx
Yeah i have life experience as well. Those tend to be stronger than sterrotypes
Pretty much any descent size dog can someone in matter of minutes. So can human being killed people in matter of minutes.
@matt1209
Yeah. And?
I hate it when people compare intelligent beings with impulsuve dumb brutes
I'm curious. Did a dog hurt you or something and that's why you hate them? :) Not judging just curious.

Some are like that. Some are not. Depends on the dog and how it was brought up.
Pit Bulls are human created , mostly uncontrolled killing machines. More dangerous than a handgun.
Just stop breeding them ASAP.
Did you even read what I wrote? :(
I don't believe everything I read on the internet.
You didn't read. Case closed. 👌
This is a load of bullshit. I own a pitbull and he's friendlier than most animals and people.
Over here, walking a pitt bull is what the 'bad boys' do.
Well then people "over there" have no idea how to be good pet owners then.
@xXiTacoXx They don't buy them to be 'good pet owners'. They buy them to parade with a weapon. Sellers and attack trainers know it very well.
Well then why don't the "good people" in your area do something like take these dogs in and treat them like you would any other large family dog with love, care, and respect?

@slimstiffy and there you go. in lieu of a good argument resort to name calling. that's when you know an argument is over...
@madhatters4
Nah. It was over when you went full retard.
Never go full retard.
@slimstiffy A poodle?
Poodles are much more aggressive than pitbulls.
And yet you would prefer one of those over dogs that are known for being the biggest sooks and sweethearts?
@BaileyisDarcy
Kinda.. Even if a poodle decided to go full apeshit id be able to restrain it and im sure it can't kill me

Also, terrible logic by the way. Stupid really
My uncle has one and it's a good dog.
Most of them are. :)
I don't hate pits but I'm a cat person so I find the majority of dogs annoying
I like dogs more than cats despite having two dogs and a cat.
I do not have any pets at home
They are the most loving and caring dogs.
This is true and the study I put proves it
I've had 4 pitbulls and they were all like this. 😊
That's sweet :)
They're cute and all but they kind of scare me because of how big their mouths are.
People mishandle them.
I only like the German sherperd.
They can snap too.
