For anyone who doesn't know, the United States of America celebrates its day of independence on July Fourth every year. On that day in 1776, the country adopted the Declaration of Independence. You can say the United States will be 240 years old tomorrow! Boy, does time fly!



I rarely travel, and tomorrow will be no exception. I will spend another Independence Day here in Ohio. People often travel on this day, but it's often to see relatives for the most part.



I surfed the web, and researched the best "parties", and celebrations for this day. The "criteria" basically revolves around the quality of the fireworks, the scenery surrounding the city, number of people who often celebrate it, and the military presence in the city. If you happen to be in any of these cities in the Fourth of July, you may be in luck!



San Diego, California

San Diego is known for being patriotic. With major military bases dotting the area, most residents love their country.The city is also known for its beautiful beaches. This is a perfect place for a family or single person to spend an extended holiday. One can spend a week in the city without getting bored or restless. With this being said, San Diego is known for having heavy traffic in general-So you may want to get to this celebration early.



Las Vegas, Nevada

What isn't Vegas known for? In this city, revelers can drink all day and night anywhere they please. Furthermore, the day after the bash the party will continue. Without a doubt, a patriotic American will love the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas on Fourth of July. The best part is, Las Vegas isn't well known for its Independence Day celebrations-So it should be easy to get a hotel room.



Denver, Colorado

I've been to Denver before, and it's still the most beautiful, and unique city I've ever been to. The unique aspect of this location is it's actually a family-friendly spot, and it's still great for single people without kids. One can take their kids to the city and make it an extended vacation. Denver summers are hot, but low in humidity. As locals say, the best fireworks are the ones which peak above the beautiful mountains-But there is always the Coors Field fireworks as well.



Memphis, Tennessee

In this city, people enjoy the barbecue and the eccentric residents. A person who does not mind the heat will love the ambience of this city. When walking down the street in Memphis, one will quickly realize how friendly residents and are to outsiders. Without a doubt, when looking for unique Fourth of July experience, one must head to Memphis. As someone who has been to a variety of locations in Tennessee, I have yet to visit Memphis, and I want to someday!



Chicago, Illinois

Chicago is another city which capitalizes its fireworks scenery with water. While this city is very well known for its unique food, and shopping outlets, there is also an astounding Independence Day annual parade, and some of the best fireworks in the country. Chicago is also a large military city as well.



New York City, New York

New York City is the largest city in the United States(by a landslide), so it has to be on this list. With presence of the Atlantic ocean, large lights, skyscrapers, and a jam-packed area of people, it's quite possibly the most exciting city to celebrate any holiday.
