Please seemy recent my take. Very similar though different presentation. Thats good because some messages are worth phrasing in multiple ways so that others can understand better :)
I'm definitely pro equal rights for both men and women. Really the only time I get annoyed with "feminists" is the ones who negate their gender roles but will expect a man to live by his gender roles.
You can say it means one thing all you want, but you can't change how sexist modern day feminism is.
If feminism was about equality, it wouldn't have 'femi' in it. Period.

Honey, when less than 15% Of all people are a thing, and you point at the vast masses who are not that thing and say "look, stupid people!" All you get is a majority either laughing at you, feeling sorry for you, or just thinking you are projecting.
Look, a majority is not default correct. But when the majority is so huge, it is worth asking why so many people are in that camp, and not in your very small minority.
Even if the feminist world view is the correct one, you, and all feminists, have an obligation to ask "why are we so much a minority?" And to look at your message.
Be self critical, and instead of going to the simplistic "they disagree because they're stupid!" view, which is nothing but self back patting and confirmation bias, try asking "how do we improve our messagr to be inclusive, so people are less angry and consider the wisdom of our position?"
People who refuse to do that are the stupid people.
