Oh, well, bahah an engagement ring shouldn't be "a surprise"... at least not a *total* surprise, anyway. Remember, she's going to be wearing that thing for the rest of her LIFE.
What can/should be a surprise is the TIMING of a proposal -- as well as the specifics of the proposal itself. (Private is better. Public proposals are cheesy as fuck.). But, you should really go ring shopping... or at least get a VERY specific sense of what kind of thing she would appreciate/like.
Honestly, if she's not a spoiled brat, you could just tie a string around her finger when you actually get engaged, and then go ring shopping together later.
@redeyemindtricks once again good points I really wanted a huge public thing, not for me, but so she feels special But what ever she's into I wonder if they will have alternatives to diamonds popularized one day
A huge public thing is 0.05% likely to feel "special", and 99.95% likely to just be awkward (especially in this day and age, where you *know* there will be at least 198276897.2156123089 camera phones pointed at you).
When you buy a diamond you don't know from where it's from... Also you can do the same take about nike or any sport shoes / clothes. I don't think many people would stop buying them just because of that...
Probably the major big player companies, of course some companies most of the people are unaware of how they actually get their diamonds so to them they are conflict free to their knowledge so it's not exactly a lie because they don't know.
That's the way I had always viewed them until I realize they have other purposes other than to be worn and looked at. Their other uses are far more interesting.

Good take, I didn't even know they had artificial diamonds.
They can now manufacture diamonds in a laboratory so pretty soon this industry will be obsolete.
I have diamonds, but they are a cheap tragedy compared to Alexandrite.
You have some really interesting mytakes! Good work.
I've hear all this before on the youtube series, "Adam ruins everything".

I saw blood diamond documentaries years ago. I don't wanna buy one, I just hope I can convince my wife one day to
"Convince yr wife" 😂😂 Wrong starting point boyo.
How you spend yr money is yr choice, obviously. At the very most you might feel compelled to "explain"... but, to "convince"? Smh hell naw.
@redeyemindtricks that's a fair point. I mean it is a surprise anyways

It's also 0.00% likely to be intimate.
@redeyemindtricks you give perspective only a liberally minded, progressive, modern and experienced women can give
Thank you
Yw..

People on the internet: Diamonds are evil, people who buy diamonds are supporting brutal warlords and price-gouging mega corporations
People in real life: I want that one
I hate the idea to buy or see diamonds which I know for sure were blood diamonds :o
And there are trucksloads full of them :-(
Exactly why I don't like diamonds. Great job on this.
As long as they only use Trump supporters as slave labor in those Arkansas mines I'm fine with it...
Its not a mine, its a state park

you got the idea from me?
No, I've been planning to write this take for over a month.
I was finally angry enough to write it
Wow you seriously thought that poorly thought out example was his reason for this entire take? What an ego. xD
Lol diamonds aren't conflict free, ever heard of blood diamonds?
I know but some companies advertise cruelty free diamonds, but despite the name, they aren't
Probably the major big player companies, of course some companies most of the people are unaware of how they actually get their diamonds so to them they are conflict free to their knowledge so it's not exactly a lie because they don't know.
Women won't accept anything else. How else am I supposed to guarantee I get blown without diamonds?
Not like I was going to buy them anyway.
It's not like I'm ever gonna get one anyway 😂
Nice take. I actually never liked diamonds
They never held my interest just a shiny rock
That's the way I had always viewed them until I realize they have other purposes other than to be worn and looked at. Their other uses are far more interesting.

This a really good take, Waffles. Well done!
