Most retail work is degrading, tbh.
Tell the girls at Hooters to be freelance sex workers. Then at least they can protest to treatment from customers they don't like, because they'll be their own boss.
Oh yeah it's so degrading. I mean, choosing where you work is so bad. It's not like you can just quit at any time if you dislike how you are treated. Only if we could just walk away from jobs like that. Too bad we are forced to work.

Men would always pick the woman who didn't protest about anything and all the others would have to choose between becoming equally acomodateing and going out of business.
How does a job degrade a woman? Are male strippers degraded by women then? How about male models? How about male actors and singers where women are throwing themselves at? All you have to do is look at the cover of romance novels (the most widely read genre in the world (written by women, for women) and see the half naked men on the covers. Does this degrade men to or does it only count when its a woman?

I don't think it makes sense to generalize all women who work at these places. They have different situations. Some may feel pressured into it and hate their job and others may view it as their own choice and a good way to make money.

I've never been to a Hooter's. The whole atmosphere there doesn't really appeal to me. Even though I'd love to feel up a woman in a place like that, I won't do that.
Hooters is a sports bar that happens to have waitresses that wear a sexy (but outdated) outfit. It's NOT a strip club, and feeling up the waitresses is NOT allowed. I really don't know where people get some of these ideas.
