Why I Hate the Term "Snowflake" and Anything Like It.

Note 2: This is the first part of a series of MyTakes that I plan to write. Before people can debate and discuss things, I feel it's important to dictate HOW it should be done whether it's on feminism, LGBTQA+, or other things. To anybody planning to comment, I stick by my promise that any insult or condescending attitude shown will not be given much attention and likely result in blocking as I am not "offended," but I do not waste my time in shouting matches. I want debates to have basic human decency and that is part of what I am about to discuss. No saying "but Obama did this" or "but liberals do that" as it won't be taken seriously either. I am referring to certain people in this and I feel it justified that they worked hard to earn the title of "biggest assholes of 2017." Either work on it and improve or GTFO. No more excuses. Keep in mind it is my FIRST MyTake so it's not going to be perfect.

If there is one word I want to nominate for "Most annoying word of the 21st century," it most definitely goes to the word, "snowflake." The whole meaning of the word basically describes one as weak or too sensitive. It goes very well with the establishment of dominance people die for so desperately these days. But why do people, both conservative and now even liberal use such a word? First Breitbart far righters, then every conservative, and now liberals too to fight back. It is part of the annoying mockery brought up specifically to make fun of people and put them down. It's gain so much popularity, that people as old as 50 or 60 will use it as much as possible, alongside words like "basement dweller" to put down anyone they are arguing with, namely, people much younger and more liberal. Why isn't this a red flag? People that are older are supposed to be wiser right? They are supposed to be the ones people much younger trust and look up to. But I simply can't look up to people that sink to the same level of a kindergarten bully on a playground. And most "cucks" as we are called can't either. The thing I notice is the level of hypocrisy for many reasons:

1. We all begin as semen that win the race to escape a penis. That's right, we technically have our first victory BEFORE we are even born. So is ANYONE technically just a "snowflake," or the dominating thinker humans we're made to be? Every person at some point beat out hundreds of other sperm in order to be born. So doesn't every person deserve some respect???

2. "I think the thing that happened in Charlottesville was horrible!" "STOP BEING SUCH A SENSITIVE SNOWFLAKE! TRUMP WON! NOW YOUR PEOPLE ONLY GET IN THE WAY AND DESERVE SOMEBODY GETTING RUN OVER TO PROVE IT! HAHAHAHA! GO BACK TO YOUR BASEMENT AND CRY! YOU SHOULD KILL YOURSELF WHILE I FUCK YOUR MOMMY HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA." Putting somebody down to win an argument actually is the dumber thing to do. Socrates once said, "when a debate is lost, slander become the tool of the loser." A debate isn't proven won through being the bigger asshole. It's won by getting your points across the best. Once that rule is broken, it's not a debate and pointless to take it seriously.

3. EVERYBODY has been a "snowflake" at some point. Most of us have cried, felt pain, or become sensitive at some point. It's a natural human thing to do. Can it seem to be taken too far? Yes. But even then basic compassion calls for understanding.

WHY ARE THERE SUCH MEAN PEOPLE IN THE WORLD" It's ironic that the majority of people who abuse the term so much prove all the time how weak they can seem.

I see mainly conservatives/religious/right wing people that use it. The religious part covers a vast majority of these people. For those who do, I would usually be considered a "sensitive snowflake" and anyone like me would too. But if I took any bible and burned it in front of their eyes, insulted god or JC, or started completely calling out their religion, most of them LOSE IT.

(checking the comment sections on these vids will likely prove a good point. How much can people bet though, that these same people hating on the vids in the comment section called somebody a snowflake the other day? Keep in mind, that pastor is an avid trump supporter. Who's side of the political spectrum created the word "snowflake"? I wonder how many people ready to throw shade at me in the comment section didn't even bother with the video because they are "scared" of the symbols shown. Oh the irony)

It's the same reason why some have to get out and complain about a LGBTQA+ parade or the like. When it comes to things like THAT, suddenly the tables are turned. Their true fear comes out and some even suddenly grow a more friendly tone as they prepare a "come to Jesus" speech. Ironic isn't it?

That is my rant on the word and all that goes with it. More to come. Before I end this, I want to mention this. One or two snowflakes are light and doesn't hurt anything. But when many snowflakes come together with blazing fury, it's suddenly not such a pretty picture. Seemingly innocent snowflakes, when they come together and show their wrath, become a snowstorm.The thing that freeze people in their tracks, blow things apart, and completely buries anything in their path. If Newton's law is correct, that "every action has an equal and opposite reaction," then maybe the people who are considered "innocent little snowflakes" should be taken more seriously. Because once a snowstorm comes, it may be quite a bit before it stops.

The term spiked in popularity around the days of gamergate where The Internet Aristocrat, a now defunct youtube channel got the attention of a lot of internet users who were particularly fed up of feminist and SJW interference in the gaming community. A massive backslash occurred which centered around the Zoe Quinn controversy, he was one of the central figures to bring it to popular attention of youtubers and the internet in general.

His prior videos where in large part commentary on Tumblrinas and special snowflake was used repeatedly to refer to these people. It refers to the long list of pronouns they adopt in order to seem ever more special and unique, with a sufficiently long list of pronouns you can be someone who is truly unique from everyone else, and this is common place among Tumblr profiles of people from this ilk. It's also closely tied in with identity politics which is what these types of SJWs tend to peddle, they get the loudest voice because they're the most oppressed because they're the most unique.

Snowflake is used because each one is unique and these people genuinely believe they're unique and special.

The way that people fought back against the lunacy of the left wing growing out of control rapidly is to mock it, you look at their detractors today, social commentary from people like Milo, and what you find is that the push back is simply to make fun of these people.

They're generally speaking not interested in debate in fact there has been repeated attempts to shut down anyone who isn't a left wing speaker at American uni's for years now. And so people are taking to mocking them.

If you want a real argument, a real debate that's not shut down by "snowflake" then these people need to stop with the political correcness approach to stifiling free speech and the discussion of these ideas and engage in actual debate about the facts. They've been given enough chances.

The recent events at Berkeley in the US should tell you everything, the campus lets on right wing speakers and Antifa, a violent left wing extremist group turn up to incite violence and get arrested en masse.

So right wing people who are ignored have 2 ways to fight back. 1) violence or 2) socially mocking these people.

The right side has had little defence of their side besides acting like the animals that they are concerned with sex, food, shelter and family only and are angry they aren't as smart as the left side. There is always room for debate. Nobody has won. Nobody deserves mocking. When it's 2030 and minorities rule America, I am not going to stand by and let them mock those who mocked me in the Trump period. It's super tempting, but I know it isn't right at the end of the day. With Trump, the right wing has a temporary victory possibly until they die off. Either way, democrats will likely win at some point as long as the courts don't break. which so far, I actually respect Trump for letting them do their thing. He could have found ways to overpower and didn't and kept the law. I hope the Dems will do the same. Law is law and shouldn't be broken unless necessary. You should also know how to deal with people who do not share your vision, or are actually intent on destroying it. Snowflake is mostly in reference to people who consider themselves beautiful and special and unique to the degree where its masturbatory. They expect everyone to pay attention to them because of how special they are and listen to what they want lest they melt in the face of criticism or 'harassment' i. e literally just not getting either way, which is supposed to be a complete and utter tragedy because of how unique and beautiful they think they are.

These certain people also take offence way too easily or get mad not getting their way and again they are weak and insignificant. But if you and a majority of people see these certain people as weak and insignificant, do you really pay attention to what they have to say? Also, if you answered yes to either of these, then no, you are not giving them the same rights as other people to speak their mind so that's a lie. And it's hypocrisy because you see it as a bad thing, but if you answered yes, you are doing it yourself. So does that mean hypocrisy is justified?

I definitely listen to what they say, because that's where the problem is. That's how I know how gross or stupid the things they want are. I think the majority of people *do* listen to them and allow themselves to be influenced by nonsense. Ok so there's two ways of using the word 'listen' and I think they need to be explained. One is hearing the literal words that are coming out of their face, that's good, do that, and I said we should do that. I completely get what you are saying, but the people known as "snowflakes" rarely are talking about a subjective subject. Rather it's usually political therefore making it objective. 2+2=4 is something easily proven for example because of the calculations that can be proven. However, things like political correctness that I will admit SEEMS to be taken too far at times, has multiple sides to it that are very objective. As bad as it seems, it has to be treated differently. There is some subjectivity to politics, it's concerns living in ways we are comfortable with after all. But even when they do make objective arguments, my point is that they're objectively wrong and still they are taken seriously. If calling the 'weak' is actually an apt description and it's not being used on it's own to dismiss the argument, then I don't see the problem. If their descriptions are accurate then they're not insults so much as criticisms that *they* find to be insulting and the only way to avoid the offense is to not criticize them at all, which obviously shouldn't be a thing. The other side of this argument is called hateful all the time. You can just say don't call these people hateful, when the whole problem that's being perceived within them is that they're hateful. I can't simply expect to finger wag at people and then not be called hateful, I need to hear and consider the criticism so I can refute it. This is not the way of the snowflake.

I would argue politics is all subjective. Too many diverse opinions that will never be in line 100%. Meaning that criticisms thrown at each other's chara ter shouldn't be a thing.
