If you weren't an attractive guy in the first place then that just means you're unattractive, you didn't get friend-zoned. You can't magically become more attractive so easily, but you can reset the friend-zone process.

  TRUE friendship is better than loniliness. A woman who friendzones you isn't a true friend if she knows you still have feelings for her and wants to keep hanging out. You are just getting exploited for her own ends.

  Well breaking up someone and remaining friends is a completely different story. That means at one point she found you attractive and masculine enough to get in bed.
  
  Friendzone is when she exploits you KNOWING that you are interested but she will never spread them legs. You less than a man to her in that scenario.
