Globalism: What the World Needs, But Isn't Ready For...The Ramblings of a Thoughtful 16 Year Old

Imagine a world without extremism.

Extremism of any sort. A world without communism, without nazism, without people fighting over opinions, without unnecessary shouting from people who disagree with you, and without name calling of any sort.

Imagine a world, where rational discussion was the norm. A society in which even if you disagree with someone, you're still able to respect the person.

I'll also include religion in to the category extremism. Not only because people are violent over it, but also because something as simple as believing in "the wrong God" can make people disrespect each other.

Religion can also be accountable for holding progress back. By not believing in science, people put not only themselves back, but all of humanity. Imagine how many scientists there could've been if not for religion.

By eliminating the two main reasons for people to declare war because on each other for, what left could be a valid reason for war? The lack of resources. But then again, if rational discussion was the norm, and there was no extremism, what's most likely is that trading would be a valid option. If there at that point still existed countries.

A world were people, despite differences co exist in peace. That would be an utopia! Who knows what we would be doing. Perhaps we would have the technology to colonize planets, that would greatly impact the living standards, not only giving people more space, but humanity could flourish at more places than one. Plus we'd have more resources, so we could live more expensively without destroying all the planets.

The world could be a much better place than what it is today, and globalism would be the way! But as of right now, humanity as a whole isn't ready for it. And perhaps we never will be. Religion and extremism could be the end of us.

But can you imagine what the world would have looked like if they had our modern technology 5000 years ago when Hinduism was founded? Humans are curious creatures who seek answers. Instead of guessing the answers, they could have searched for them, hence never founding a religion, which would lead to no religion having to exist.

It's an interesting thought to play around with. I've been thinking about this the whole evening, and just had to do a MyTake on it. Thank you for reading.

Humans are naturally tribalistic in nature, unfortunately, due to the simple fact that humans are animals and most animals, especially other higher mammals like us, are also tribalistic for the purpose of survival. Pretty hard to override, even if you try, millions of years of evolutionary instinct; can't do it, really. In some regards it's vain to even try.

Foreigners are stealing our jobs, let's ban all imports and be self sufficient in all things otherwise the only job you'll be able to get will be in the service sector. What does Hindus have to do with it? There are just as many extreme Hindus as with any other ideology.
