@tartaarsaus yep my super is not looking too great that's another reason why I went back to work but only part time.
@Goodwifie its not the cost of living its unrealistic expectations. My grandpa built a house with his own hands and it was the nicest on the block. My grandparents and 5 kids grew up there. Going in that house today you would think its tiny but at the time it was the biggest house on the block. They also never had more than one car (because my grandma did not work) and they would budget and not just buy all sorts of things. If you buy a house like that, keep one modest car and budget you can easily afford to raise 5 kids on the salary of a blue collar worker like my grandpa was.
My buddy has 11 kids and he works in construction and his wife stays home. This is today. Youve just bought into consumerism and that you NEED all sorts of things you really dont.

My husband lost his job of ten years and couldn't find a decent job for around 12 months but because of the fact that I worked it helped us stay afloat until he found something permanent.
@Goodwifie what would happen is he would get another? What would happen if he did and you both worked but had 2 car payments and a bigger house and such? How is that any better?

@bamesjond0069 we only have one car to pay off because we worked together to pay it off sooner.
We live in an average house and live a simple life.
I get home from work and my husband has bathed the kids, done a load of laundry and has dinner almost ready. This is what I call team work.

They should. If a woman has kids she has to be a housewife til the kids start school.
Givin your children over to strangers at a day care to watch all day isn't healthy for the kids development at a tender age.
Kids need their mom all day at a early age to grow up mentally and emotionally healthy with lots of love attention and teaching from their mom which a stranger at a day care won't provide.
