I think you might be taking this a bit out of proportion if they believe they are "2000s kids" or whatever all this generation stuff means let them feel like they are apart of something they think they're in 😂😂😂
Actually, baby boomers are considered baby boomers because they were BORN in that general time, just as 2000s kids are considered 2000s because they were BORN in that time. I don't know why people feel the need to tell everyone what they are and what they aren't. So what if you were born in the 90s but experienced your childhood in the 2000s, you're just part of the group that experience both 90s and 2000s for a childhood.

Baby boomers isn't comparable to a 00s kid. They're two different things. You can only compare a baby boomers to a Milenial or a generation Z person. So that's invalid.
Yes that's true you might be born in 1993 and remember your early childhood to be in the 90s but that doesn't make you a 90s kid because like I said you haven't grown up in the 90s. I see this as important because I believe late childhood and mid childhood influences you a lot more in terms of the society you were from and the memories you have of your childhood.
I figure if they were born at max five years after me then they're the same generation. Mainly because they're going to have the same pop culture references as I do. (It's easier then going off on all those would be "90s" kids, healthier too.)
Don't you ever put me. in the category of a 2000's baby again in your life THAT is the biggest and disgusting, obnoxious, petrifying untrue statement i have ever heard you deserve a 👊 in the mouth for this comment! 😷
Because you had something that "belongs" in the 2000 it does not mean other people born later than did not have them. I didn't i have a tamagotchi? Hell fucking yeah. The Fairly OddParents yup. Drake and josh mhm. Everything you had I had it.

Well obviously.
I never said that because you didn't have something in the 2000s and had it later you're not a 2000s kid. You at 16 were either born in 2003 or 2002. Owning a tamagotchi doesn't make you a 2000s kid. It's also being of a certain age because your childhood clashed into 2010s as well. You didn't grow up in the 2000s.
No. I owned plenty of 90s things growing up because a lot of my siblings were born in the 80s. And I think it's normal to have a lot of thungs from the previous decade because it wasn't very long before 2010s.
Doesn't really matter. Majority of your childhood took place in 2010. 1993 borns count as 2000s kids so you definitely count as a 2010 kid in my opinion
No mate. Weather or not you had toys or whatever from the 2000s doesn't matter because whilst you were playing with them it was the 2010s.
Also you don't know if you grew up the same as me. It's very very likely you didn't. A few similarities doesn't mean we grew up the same. You wouldn't have remembered life before YouTube as it was founded in 2005 when I was 8.
I was three then but i still think I am closer to 2000s than 10 since i was born 2002 so i am preety sure i am in between and yeah you are right about youtube but even when it was invented i didn't use it cause i didn't know it existed lol
Also iPhone and tablets and the whole social media craze happened in 2010. When you would have been 6-7 You were still in your childhood years so all these 2010 kids things are very much apart of your childhood. 2000s kids were done with childhood by this point or at least in their last few years. I was 13 so I just started my teens.
Anyway I'm not going to carry on with this cuz we are pretty much just going in circles. But no I wouldn't say you are a 00s kid. You cab disagree if you want to but most people would agree.
You were literally a child until 2015 though. That's 3 years ago...
You remember two years of the 00s vaguely. It doesn't matter what you played with or what you were doing at that time, it don't matter if you think you played with what you thought 2000 kids played with. Or how 2000s you think you were. The point is your age and the ers you were in as a child was not the 2000s. This is my whole point on why people born in 2002 and after aren't 2000 kids. You think you know what it was like but you don't. It's just a thing of the imagination for you, it's not weird for 2010s kids to play with 2000 toys in the beginning because 2010s had just started. But it was the 2010s not the 2000s. They were finished when you were 6. If you don't remember the 2000s era itself properly then you're not a 2000s kid.
Alright for real this is now my last response. When you're a you're older you will be happier about being a 2010s kid as we are approaching the 2020s now.
I'm sorry if I'm coming across as mean or insensitive not my intention. See ya.
I say 1994 plus was a kid of "00" generation because they were a still a kid in the beginning of the "00" (6 years old) and kids born 2004 are the kids of the 2010 generation.
If I was born in the 2000s I'm a 2000s kid, what is there not to understand about that? I'd even say "growing up" is more about the age 0-10 than 10-20

No one said it was 10-20. I said it was growing up to your late childhood which is 9-12. Bring born in the 2000s doesn't make you a 00s kid though. That's like saying a 1997 baby is a 90s kid.
I don't take offense lol😂 but I don't get it, what's the difference between someone born in 2000 and someone born in 2005 since actually we had the same TV show and the same music and the same cellphones...

I explained all of this in my take already why are people asking questions that are already touched on?
Someone born in 2005 would only remember 2009 properly. That's only one year in the 2000s. If someone can't contciously remember the 2000s properly are they really a 2000s kid? 2005 kids were 4 in 2009 and then moved onto grow up in the 2010s. So they're 2010 kids because 2010 influenced their childhood a lot more than the 2000s.
There quite a big difference between someone born in 2000 and 2005. 2000s born people were 9 in the 2000s. They had actual detailed memories of the 2000s, and they also reached their late childhood years by the time the 2000s finished. They would also be able to recall life with internet only being on the computer and a life without social media. 2005 babies wouldn't be able to remember that. Quite a big difference
By life without social media I don't mean when there was literally no social media. Social media did exist in the 2000s as I stated above but it wasn't apart of society the way it is now. Social media was only for the "younger generarion" back then. The old and middle aged people didn't have a clue what it was. It was just a cool thing that was meant for the kids and teens.
It also wasn't half as advanced as it is now. Back then you would use social media to escape from the real world but now it's the other way round. People use to real world to escape social media. Anyway I've give a some what detailed reply now.
Sorry for the constant comments but it was just easier to respond that way
Then again, 1993 is still the early '90s. So I guess a bit of both. Although the '00s were my formative years for sure, considering I don't really have any vivid memories of the '90s era to speak of
Yeah that's exactly what I've said on my take. Of you can't remember that era you're not a kid of that era. Same for 2003 kids, they wouldn't be considered 2000s kids because they wouldn't remember the 2000s very much.
You ignored 1992. Also am I a 2000s kid having been born in 1991. Tell me how many 2000 kids remember the Monica Lewinsky scandal? I remember hearing about it, although at that time I didn't really understand everything going on. I was like 5.
You're obviously not very good at reading because I said people born in the year 2000 are counted as 2000s kids. Please actually READ my take before jumping to conclusions

If you did not watch the first season of Digimon on TV every morning before school in the early 2000s, you weren't a 2000s kid :D
Fudge Digimon 90's kids was on that One Saturday Morning tip
I'm a '90s kid, but I lived through middle school and high school in the 2000s. (I was born in the '80s.)
I think you might be taking this a bit out of proportion if they believe they are "2000s kids" or whatever all this generation stuff means let them feel like they are apart of something they think they're in 😂😂😂
If they never watched “The Simple Life” or listened to ringtone rap then they are not a 2000s kid.
I guess I was too old to do that. I was 9 in 2000
@Twalli you’d be more of a 90s kid in my book, though you’re teenage years would have been along the lines of the 2000s.
Imb turned 9 in 2000

Meanwhile I'm sitting here, born in 1989 before the Berlin Wall fell.
I was at there when the Berlin Wall fell.
@humanearth *high fives*
Gotta say. Being born around the time the Berlin Wall fell, is not the same as being there at all.
@VaIiant I never said it was.
I figure if they were born at max five years after me then they're the same generation. Mainly because they're going to have the same pop culture references as I do. (It's easier then going off on all those would be "90s" kids, healthier too.)
I was an 80s baby... for 7 months then I was a 90s baby and eventually kid.
Don't you ever put me. in the category of a 2000's baby again in your life THAT is the biggest and disgusting, obnoxious, petrifying untrue statement i have ever heard you deserve a 👊 in the mouth for this comment! 😷
I didn't? What were you reading 🤣
Because you had something that "belongs" in the 2000 it does not mean other people born later than did not have them. I didn't i have a tamagotchi? Hell fucking yeah. The Fairly OddParents yup. Drake and josh mhm. Everything you had I had it.

I also said many other things that i had as a "non-2000" kid. But seriously i was growing up in the two 2000s
Oh we're only 6 in 2009. You can o my remember 2 years at most after the age of 4. I wouldn't consider you a 2000s kid.
You were*
Only* remember
So owning things and living and growing up with things from the 2000s doesn't necessarily make you a 2000s kid?
No. I owned plenty of 90s things growing up because a lot of my siblings were born in the 80s. And I think it's normal to have a lot of thungs from the previous decade because it wasn't very long before 2010s.
I am an only child. Meaning all of my stuff were from the 2000. I grew up with these
Doesn't really matter. Majority of your childhood took place in 2010. 1993 borns count as 2000s kids so you definitely count as a 2010 kid in my opinion
2010s*
So me growing up with almost the excact same stuff as you does not?
No mate. Weather or not you had toys or whatever from the 2000s doesn't matter because whilst you were playing with them it was the 2010s.

I sitll can't call myself a 2010 I just does not feel right since I also wasn't a part of the social media outburst. whatever tho

It's K but i still haven't changed my opinions ::)

I had a 99' baby proudly telling that he was listening to his beloved songs of the 90s...
I was born in 2002 and already a kid during 2006 to 2009..
wittle babyyy awww
I don't take offense lol😂 but I don't get it, what's the difference between someone born in 2000 and someone born in 2005 since actually we had the same TV show and the same music and the same cellphones...

Yeah sure, but i am born in 2005, when I was really young Facebook was probably the only social midea and wasn't used by too many people
By 2009 it was quite popular. That's when I made Facebook. No one really uses it regularly anymore except grandmothers now.
Yeah true
Born in late 1993. The New Year's Eve of 2000 is actually one of my first childhood memories. Am I a 90s or a 00s kid? I honestly don't know.
In my opinion, 2000s kid
Then again, 1993 is still the early '90s. So I guess a bit of both. Although the '00s were my formative years for sure, considering I don't really have any vivid memories of the '90s era to speak of

I was born in 2000 and shared the same child hood as those born in the 90s...
Alright.
I’m not sure how I wouldn’t be a 00’ kid seeing as how I was a kid in the 2000s. 90s kids and 00’s kids pretty much shared the same child hood.
You're obviously not very good at reading because I said people born in the year 2000 are counted as 2000s kids. Please actually READ my take before jumping to conclusions
I didn’t jump to a conclusion. I never said you that? I was just stating something. 🥴
Well you're arguing something that wasn't even in there to argue over. So you obviously are jumping to conclusions without reading it all.
I didn’t even argue anything 😂. But okay 🤷🏽♀️I was just saying I’m not sure why I wouldn’t be one. Wasn’t trying to “argue”
Fair enough.
Lmao
Interesting. I don't honestly remember much of my childhood.
