I've decided to share my entire experience, as someone who lives under a regime. To be honest, I don't know for how long I'll have internet access. The regime, here—in Nicaragua— is getting worst.

Essentially, publishing anything against the regime is extremely dangerous, but I do it while I could, for the porpoise of showing what is taking place in my country; also, to give a warning: your country—rich or poor—can be taken by a dictatorial government.

A regime can arise from any political ideology. Thinking it only can develop from one in particular, is absurd. Tyrannies often feed of: desperation and fear.

The desperation and fear of a nation, leads to human rights violations that are first accepted, then unbearable when it sistematically destroys the economy and the family structure.

I'm old enough to remember leftists making fun of Ronald Reagan back in the 1980s when he pointed out that Daniel Ortega, Nicaragua's then and current dictator, was a Communist. Turns out Reagan was right.

It's correct that a dictatorship can emerge anywhere. But people often want to ignore the warning signs. Here's a hint- censorship is a major one.

Why are you pretending that you and other trumplicans have anything in common with men like Ronald Reagan?

Reagan almost singlehandedly destroyed the Soviet Union. Today trumplicans support Putin.

People oftenly ignore the warning signs, specially when their mind radically associate "regime", "dictator", with a specific political ideology.

It is incredible! Dictators will use any ideology to consolidate power. They will call it capitalism, communism, upsidedownism. . . it doesn't matter. The result is always the same. These folks pretend it is the system that is bad and not the people behind the system who have amassed power. And what is worse, they are not even consistent in their definition in how they define these supposed systems.

How is Russia. . . any different now, than Soviet Russia? Other than it is smaller and more feeble than the Soviet Union?

It is still a communist society, where the government owns the chief industry. . . oil. And it subsidizes everything else.

Yet trumplicans run to Putin's aid. Because he is some kind of "conservative". Nah, it is because Putin has manipulated the political conversation in the United States to his advantage. And if he can break us, he thinks he can break support for Ukraine and the other former Soviet nations.

I think I've read all of your takes about dictatorship in Nicaragua. I can't imagine how hard it must be to live under such regime.

I wish you were able to leave the country. It might not be the ideal situation but at least you'll have freedom and peace of mind.
