Becuase it is your responsibility as an adult, with critical thinking skills to be able to separate the extreme from the actual movement. If you read up on traditional feminist views, what these extremists are doing is not actually classed as 'feminism' however they use the same name, tarnishing everyone.

Actually! I would not mind if men started their own movement whatsoever, I'm all for it. The reason feminism was created was to elaborate on womens issues, the movement started around the 1900s, and back then it was wayyy worse than today, and womens issues really needed to be focused on, hence the gendered title.

If you do your research on what traditional feminism is, then you will learn to not tarnish us with the same brush as these men hating women who claim to be feminists, but really go exactly against what trad feminism stands for.

Which would really be ironic because a one sided movement can't really be considered "equality" if one group is focused. Even if you're talking about back then, it had been debunked. It's not even just women facing issues and oppression. Men were as well but of course knowing the psychology of our society, were not hardwired to sympathize men as much as to sympathize women. Something called the "Women are Wonderful Effect" that had been with us all along which is exactly why your feminism is heard more. But if there were masculinists advocating for their rights, they'd be humiliated which is a part of an issue men faced.
