I really don't agree with the Christian one. Religion in general is not something I worry about when looking for a guy.

Yes U got it rite. My gfs and fbuddies like chris. as in a mixed populace most of my fbuddies are foreskin deprived and experiencing the unnatural bruises of rough and coarse head and hence want likes of me. So may want to get rid off their virginity with the full and natural and memorable thing. besides to remain starved they would beter feel to eat the forbidden fruit so half of my fbuddies are married or into commitment with their fore-less partners.

#7 Is getting me. Please re-phrase it. It should say something more like Christian Girls want Christian guys (I met some atheist women in college for whom Christian guys were a big turn off.) , Or you want someone with similar beliefs/values. But lets not assume that just because 2 people are both Christian, that they have similar beliefs or values. A Catholic person may have different values than an evangelical Christian etc.
The other thing was #1. Yes girls can be shy. But moreover, I seem to think there is this cultural expectation that guys have to take the first move.
Where I grew up, if woman did not make the first move, she would still have a date, because she could just sit back and wait for a nice guy to ask her out. If a guy did not make the first move, he was almost guaranteed to end up single.
I wonder how many other guys shared similar experience.
Yeah. Christianity only accounts for 32% of the people in the world, so the majority of women actually aren't Christian and the same goes for men, therefore why would they look for a Christian man?

About #7, it'd make more sense to say (hetero/bisexual) females want males who have similar beliefs and/or values.

I agree with all of them but number 2. It could be because my area is so conservative, but the women here hate it when a guy cries, unless it is over something major, like the death of a loved one.
I'm a woman and I back that one up. Our logic is this: a man who can't handle his own emotions and can't find the words to communicate his feelings, isn't that reliable. Crying is weakness (unless something serious happened) because it suggests and inability to handle one's emotional events. A lack of strength in being able to control a situation and thus an unreliable man.
Feelings as in he cares about people. He has sympathy, and doesn't laugh when someone gets shot.
Yeah I feel the same way about women, I can't stand one that cries unless its over a loved one.

I'm sorry if it feels that way. Not all guys are attacking this post though, many of us really appreciate it. The rudest men are obviously noisiest, but nobody ever said you have to listen to and obey anyone. You can choose which men are worth entrusting yourself to and which are not. Just please don't hold us responsible as a collective for every cruddy man's behavior.

Thanks for your insight. It may have been better to say some guys and some girls. I've found that some people don't like generalizations and some people will take it personal. Which may be why some people responded the way some of them did.
And some will go strictly by the title and ignore the disclaimer you mentioned and the word basics.
