I agree with you on high school but completely disagree with you on college.
My college is literally a high school replica: Cliques, snobs, "cool kids", nothing to do EVER, and so on. It might just be my college but Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (NOT Florida) is where I'm graduating from next week and it sucks. I've hated it hear just almost as much as high school.
You can't "disagree" with my personal experiences. Lmao The only time I mentioned college in my take was when I was talking about MYSELF. I obviously wasn't speaking for everyone. This whole take is about MY life.
That doesn't make any sense. My view on college is based on my personal experience. Like I said before, the only part of this take in which I mentioned college was when I was talking about myself. Obviously not everyone has the same experiences, I never even implied that here...
Yeah you basically have to be a wealthy, privileged person to "fit-in" here. They look down on people who weren't raised with a silver spoon in their mouth.
Yeah, and either way, there will always be people like that in the world, unfortunately. But when you're out of school, you can sometimes avoid them more easily.
Yeah I commute to campus anyway. I've had multiple jobs with multiple ages of people, I've lived in this area my entire life. The people around here are just snobby or rude in general.
Yeah, those aspects aren't exclusive to high school. But the real world is different in a lot of other ways and after high school is over, I think different things become important and a bigger priority. I don't miss high school one bit. Lol
I do just for the sheer aspect that ya had a schedule, not a great deal of stress and was easier to make friends. an once ya hit the "fuck what folk think" mindset... it became so enjoyable!
I was neither bullied nor popular in HS but rather the invisible with few friends. I would hang out with them once in a while. But still, I'm glad those years are over. I was already bored by 12th grade. Bored of the same thing and bored of others not caring to know me better.
I agree very much with this. High school means nothing. Once you graduate life really starts and things are so much different. Too many kids these days think life in high school is all that matters and life afterward will suck if they aren't important by then.
i wish it lasted forever i really did with God even the insult and all that i see it in the postive way and it has become a blessing and overall more good things have happened in high school than bad, learned lessons met people got along with teachers got to show who i am make people proud and now a step to make my parents more proud and new jobs and oppurtunities all thanks to God and even though high school was fun im sure university will be better enjoy it!
I have 2 years left, I wish it would go by faster. I truly believe that having a career and going to college is better, you have more options and your not limited to certain groups of people since colleges have people from everywhere. middle school was the worse for me though, at least most people ignore others or mind their own buisness in highschool.
High School for me was pretty nice, no one was rude or mean to anyone, there were no cliques, my school was pretty accepting and peaceful. I met one of my best friends there and I am so glad I met her! I can't wait to see what's waiting for me in college (:
So naturally I'm in high school and i find that it's OK. The stress over grades is incredible and had been taking its toll on me but in the beginning of the semester school's pretty good. For me is mostly the stress. I have mental breakdowns at home, my back tightens and knots. It's not s pretty sight
i graduated a year ago. happy I'm done with it. i always got bullied by a bunch of motherfuckers. after that i went to college, did an education i didn't like afterwards, i recently stopped and at first i was planning on going back in August this year, but i still dont know what i want to do with my life and i dont want to waste money again either, so I've decided to go back next year. and make up my mind in the meanwhile.
but now the internet brings high school back into your life permanently! more drama! more childish nonsense! more idiotic popularity contests and retarded fads that are made to look like you're the retarded one if you dont do them
High school was great. I think the layout of the classes, along with the smaller school population, makes it easier to quickly make friends and keep in touch with them.
People are also more "immature", meaning they won't put up false pretenses around you as much as in the adult world. It's more obvious who actually likes you and doesn't.
I don't feel like this site is just like high school. Some people act like they're still in high school though. You'll find immature people everywhere in life.
High school was not a good time for me and I was greatly relieved when it ended. This year is the year of my 30th class reunion. I'll not be going to this one either.
Guess I've been lucky enough to have an amazing time, made some great friends and had some unforgettable experiences. The concept of bullying is juvenile and to do that to another person is unfathomable.
I was so happy the moment that phase of my life was over. I never wanted to grow up so fast but I dreaded high school. It was awful and I didn't even want to attend prom.
So far, high school has been the highlight of my life, seeing that there are so many sad idiots in this world. Prioritizing social status over actual knowledge and education.

I wasn't disagreeing with your personal experience, I was disagreeing with your view on college, by using my experience in college. That is all.

I know that.
Okay, well regardless, thanks for reading. I'm sorry your college experience was bad but hopefully once you graduate, things will get better.

Tis a shame many aspects of high school transfer into later life.
always find bullie
always find cliques
always falling behind the latest trend
Luckily it acts as a way to help teach us how to deal with it and if we lucky, be happy in ourselves ^_^
High school was a shitty time.
But I miss it

I found that it was much easier to make friends in college. And I like not having a set schedule. I prefer the college lifestyle.

Very great take, as someone who has never really fit in it is great to hear stories of people who have gone on to do great things and be good people.
You're an awesome person too :)
Thanks that means a lot. From what I understand people who were popular in high school actually struggle later on.

Ehh... I kind of beg to differ like this song says

It's funny you should say High School doesn't last forever when this site is oddly similar to it lol, almost like an online version.
I don't feel like this site is just like high school. Some people act like they're still in high school though. You'll find immature people everywhere in life.
Hahaha I know right... this is high school on the low
Can't argue with that lol.

High school was boring for me. But it seems like high school in america is a place to be shot and psychologically and physically tortured.
Hahaha Yeahh!
