Anyone who doesn't play video/PC games or doesn't play much at all. Probably don't know to many Video/pc game termonology. Yes some are very interesting and others are like what the hell. Some even sound very pervy which even though I've known them for a while I'll still laugh. So here are some of the terms you might not know or find interesting.

Different Video/PC game terminology

1-up/1up: Used in console video gaming this means an item that gives a player an extra life. Now if an item gives 2 lives then it becomes 2-up, 5 would be 5-up, etc .

Griefer: A player in a game or multi-player game that deliberately irritates and harasses any other players in the game. You could also say a griefer is like that of a troll but in games. That their goal is to really piss off everyone else.

Nerf: Is when a change happens in a game were it makes something in it less effective or desirable. For an example in league of legends. Sometimes riot will nerf a champion people can play. Due to the fact the champion might be to powerful that it makes things unfair against other champions.

Broken: Is when an object or facility that is to good/powerful to exist. Making things in a game unbalanced. Example is like what I said with nerf when they make a champion in league of legends less powerful. Is because they were to broken before.

Grinding: Is when your trying to gather a lot of different items in a game or doing repetitive tasks. At the moment I'm playing arc rise fantasia on the wii. My characters are not a high enough level to face the boss. So I'm spending time just level grinding.

Experience points (exp/xp): Is the unit of measurment used in games to quantify your charactor progression though the game. So basically what you need to level your character from 1-100.

Noob: This one a lot of people probably know. Is what you call someone who is new to any kinds of games. Who in any gaming community display a lack of skill or knowledge of the game.

Ragequit: Is when people quit playing a game or leave a battle due to being angry about the outcome so far. When ever I'm doing pvp or arena battles. This can happen often which is very annoying when your trying to get points.

PVP: Means player vs. player in games. Most games i've played tend to have 5 players to a team.
