Over friendly female boss

I am just very confused whether my female boss has a huge crash on me or it is just a friendly work -related cues that she passes.

Here is my story and expect you to give me your own perspectives. She is the one who hired me for the job - during the interview she complimented me by saying that I was very handsome man... we at the same time locked eyes - it was an odd situation.

We work in late hours and she prepares coffee, tea for me and she is overly friendly with me - What should I do?

I am not so sure that she has a huge crush on you. Some women, like me, enjoy taking care of the people around them, like a mother figure. Women are generally social beings who want to make sure that everyone is comfortable and happy around them. Her bringing you coffee and tea could just be her trying to be nice to you, not crushing on you. Her complimenting you on your looks, could just be a friendly compliment, not her hitting on you.

If you are still confused about her behavior, see if she does similar things for other men and women in the workplace. If she does, then she is just being friendly, if not, I would wonder why you are being singled out for "Special" treatment.

She is attracted to you and is definitely giving off that vibe. It's actually very unprofessional to tell an interviewee he is handsome, and it's just not something a company representative says to someone seeking employment. I think she is being nice by preparing the coffee or tea but again it's because she also likes you.

I highly recommend that you remain professional with her at all times. Be cordial and try not to "feed" into her attentive ways because she will read into it. In addition, like the gentleman said, keep any eye on her demeanor and interactions with you. If it starts escalating into something uncomfortable or precarious then you might have to talk to HR.

I know that you can be friendly with co-workers and act professional but her case is different. She touches me on my shoulder and talks to me about her personal life. I have also learnt that she owns the company - I won't cross the line and will ensure that I perform to the best of my ability. She doesn't do similar things for other women and men working there - it is just me. I will keep it professional and see how it goes.

Hm. Yeah she probably has a thing for you. Unless she is just overly friendly with a lot of people. If its just you then I would say she likes you. I would personally just deal with it until it gets to an unprofessional point (like touching or getting into your personal life.)

What do you want to do? If you want to keep it professional, start turning down that tea, and keep the chitchat to a minimum.

You have a female boss that likes you. It seems she hasn't started doing anything physical but she likes you. I'd suggest you grin and bear it, for now.
