I guess I am the only guy thus far who takes it as a compliment...

When I say someone is just normal, I mean they are chill and I get along with them well. A good in between, not to crazy, but not relaxed, you know?

Plus usually that means they don't have any crazy beliefs or something...

If you think about it, the vast majority of people have to be normal be definition...

It's a borderline insult. I'd be more baffled than anything else.

Normal is overrated. Everyone I love and admire is weird, in some sense. Unusual.

God bless the weirdos in this world. I'm proud to count myself among them. I have no desire to be, or to appear, "normal."

Neither actually, we are all different in our own ways. You're always going to clash with someone different from you, so you might think they're odd but no one is actually normal. We all just gather with likeminded people. 😊

I would consider it as a compliment as everyone usually tells me "Ahah you're so weird" ^-^

If I have to choose then compliment but it depends on the context in which still wouldn't be what i would call 'compliment nor an insult'. Its just a declaration it is functioning properly and follows the convention of the attributed specific subject.
