I got woken up last night by the sounds of spanking coming from my sisters room. It was around 10:30 so i;m guessing my sister (13) was definitely out pass curfew. There is never any reason to use systematic pain and humiliation on a child. When they are very small, say 2 to 4, sometimes a single smack on the bottom is the only way to get their attention and let them know the situation is serious but it needs to be done extremely sparingly or it loses the effect. Corporal punishment is not a solution to problems with people.

I don't know, I was against spanking till last week when I tried to be a teacher and two days were enough to run out there.
