Yes. We should have the arts in schools because they help children learn and succeed as students. We should have arts scholarships because someone has to teach those children. I also think there should be modest grants to things like community orchestras, choirs, etc... Because they enrich the community and provide important contributions to children and the community.

absolutely not. people need bread and butter and a job to survive, not arts.

art is a privilege and it is highly subjective. supporting it must be an individual choice. Society shouldn't be made to pay a penny for arts and/or people trying to pursue an art career.

No. Either you can sell the art or you can't. If you can't then keep doing it as a hobby and get a real job.

very difficult to make a living out of it, when the economy goes well it might be an optioy but we dont need people painting around all day a country doesn't goes forward when having lots of artists, a country that is going forward does have loads of sucessfull artists tho

Define "support". Free public exhibitions and other cultural events under the govt. patronage - sure. Giving money to anyone who call themselves "artists" - no. Works of art are just a product as far as society is concerned. No reason to get preferential treatment.
