Broke up with my girlfriend because I found out she wasn't a virgin. Does that make me a bad guy?

She's 18 and I thought she was a virgin. She didn't lie about it but she certainly gave me the impression that she was and she made me wait for 4 months before we had sex. After we had sex and she told me the truth I ended it just because I don't want to be in a relationship with a woman who's been with other men.

I told some of my girl-friends and they got upset at me. My guy friends understood though. I think I'm entitled to my preferences. I'm tall and no one gets angry at me for liking short girls, so why is it bad if I'm not a virgin who only wants to marry a virgin? I think that my friends were out of line.

I'm not going to vote because the voting thing does not have what I feel or what I think I think that you are two-faced hypocrite because it's okay for you not to be a virgin but it's not OK for the girl that is being a hypocrite you need to step back and think about how you just made the girl feel when you broke up with her right after sex she probably feels like a little Tramp thanks to you and she'll probably never trust a man again you need to write what you wrong and do it as soon as possible because what you did to that girl is bad and it's wrong you cannot be a hypocrite in a relationship if the girl is not a virgin and you're not a virgin I do not see the problem you're just being overly picky and you want what you want the way you want it life is not like that and you need to get real go fix what you fucked up and try apologizing to that girl for the way you acted because the way you acted it's pitiful man sorry but that is my opinion

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is not a preference thing. It is a gender based oppression thing. You may not generally be a bad person, but that action you just described is vile and abusive. You may not be a bad person, but that is because I don't believe in bad people. I believe in bad actions though, and that action was unabashadt evil. If I knew you in real life and heard you did this, it is unlikely I would ever willingly associate with you, or feel anything of value was lost in cutting you out of my life.

Look. I think you're trying to start something on here because it's obviously a touchy subject. I voted "no it doesn't make you a bad guy" because you can make your own choices. However that doesn't mean it's right or fair. The thing that bothered me most about this question was when you said she gave you the impression that she was a virgin because she made you wait 4 months. Like girls that aren't virgins have sex faster. It's a very flawed opinion. You're ignorant- I get it. But I have a question for you, once you had sex with her she wouldn't be a virgin any longer, so would you have broken up with her anyway? So why is this even a question? Anyways, she never lied about it. Not sure why you assumed anything. I don't know the story of her sexual history. Maybe she lost her virginity, regretted it, and wanted to find someone worthwhile. Maybe that's why she made you wait, so she knew you were worth it. And now she is probably crying somewhere and believes love is dead. I don't know what you expect her to do, since you can't change the past and I'm assuming she doesn't have a time machine.
