How do you feel about "transracial" and "transethnic" people?

For the purposes of this question, the meaning of "transracial" and "transethnic" are

Transracial: A person who feels that they should be from a different race, meant in a similar way to transexual. It's basically someone who tries to supposedly "act" like a different race, tells people they are of a different race, tries to achieve the look of a different race. For example, Rachel Dolezal.

Transethnic: A person who feels that they should be from a different ethnicity, meant in a similar way to transexual. Ethnicity isn't the same thing as race or nationality. Ethnicity is your family's heritage and it has nothing to do with what country you have citizenship in. This person tells people they are of a different ethnicity and disregards the real ethnicity of their parents, and practices a culture that is different from their family's. This person might learn the language of the ethnicity and they might change their first and last name in order to match the ethnicity. For example; a guy, who was born to an arab family, thinks and acts like he has indian heritage.

Well if that's what ethnicity means then I suppose you can actually be trans-ethnic in a way. My issue it that it literally means shit all and we don't need to talk about it or care about it at all. It is yet another pathetic attempt to be a beautiful and uniquely oppressed snowflake.

It means you grew up in once place with one group of people and then moved to a different place where there is a noticeably different culture. Holy fucking shit stop the presses, someone moved to a different country or a different region in the same country! Everyone stop what you're doing and have sympathy for this person for some reason!

I don’t hate them. I think they could either have a exaggerated admiration for a certain race or ethnicity that they wish they were a part of that specific group or they probably are not happy with the race or ethnicity they were born as. It could be both reasons they feel like that as well.

You're born into a gender, but race is what society tells you you are and describes your experience. If I were to claim I was black tomorrow, I would be wrong. I have never lived as a black man, I have not had that experience, there is nothing intrinsic to me or anyone that would make one black. "Black" is simply a label we put on people with a certain heritage/set of traits, and this label has been internalized so much that people treat black people differently. In a lot of ways, "black" is both an indictment and a badge of honor to show that you "survived" (which is why transracial people want to identify as such; to believe they are persecuted). You can't claim that for yourself, society will put you in a racial category and in Rachel Dolezal's case, she should feel damn lucky to be white.
Disclaimer: of course I'm not saying white people are better than black people, just that society treats them differently and treats them better.

Question makes no sense. Race is a social construct and our current racial classification system is relatively new (1600's). The Romans classified races completely differently than we do and skin color wasn't even a factor in what race you were. Furthemore, there is no way of figuring out someone's race by just looking at their DNA.

So race is an arbitrary concept to begin with so this question is completely nonsensical. Just because you are white doesn't mean you can't connect more closely with black people over other white people.

If race is primarily attributed to ancestry, then no, you cannot change your race. You can't change who your biological parents or ancestors are. You can't change your genes or genealogy.

Ethnicity is a bit different, where if you adopt a different language and culture, you could be considered to be a member of that culture.

For example: Was Alexander the Great Greek, or was he Hellenic?
