Why do guys always cheat on pretty girls with ugly girls?

What you want me to say:

they do so because the "ugly" chicks have nothing going for themselves, so they have to put out, and the pretty girls don't find it necessary to do so.

The truth:

People cheat for various reasons. I did not say guys, because guys aren't the only ones who cheat. Now to your dilemma... You did not indicate whether or not you were the "pretty girl" or the "ugly girl" so I must derive a general statement. What I said in the preceeding statement is somewhat truthful, albeit I said it sarcastically and with a certain level of cynicism. Let's just narrow it to your statement. In terms of cheating on "a" with "b", it is potential that he is tolerating "a" based on her looks and even though she does not want to have sex with him, he wants sex. If it was not with "a", he will go for what would be a "sure bet", In that case, "b" would suffice. At that point, he already have the pretty girl, but to him the lack is the sexuality. Now, given that concept, the question is if it is continuous, random, or just a one time thing...? That I have no answer for. It is determined by the guys actions.

My suggestion in the event if you are speaking for yourself opposed to being rhetorical in your question:

If you are "a":

Leave his ass, run, and run away... Find someone that isn't as hard pressed.

If you are "b":

It may be better to not persue him as a relationship either as a take-over or a rebound... Nothing good will come of the situation.

Speaking for myself:

I was cheated on while I was still in the Army. I caught my ex in bed with my room mate. My situation is that I am anascetic. I deny sexuality, saving for marriage. Nevertheless, she did not see it that way, she wanted sex and tried to get it no matter what. The problem was that my roomate was an ass-face, if you ask me... LOL Anyhow, I ended the relationship at that instance. And because he was engaged, I let his fiancee know what was going on and why the first sergeant removed him from the dorm room into another room. She had no Idea. The reason he was removed from the room was that I was viewed by my chain of command as a "hostile" person and knew that I could potentially have harmed my room mate given the concept that he slept with my then fiancee. Basically for his safety. Nevertheless, she begged and plead for me to forgive her, I shall never forgive betrayal. I'd rather die than forgive. I'd expect the same if I were to transgress as such, and therefore I will never do so.

LOL , I'm a guy andi often wondered the same thing. at 64 years old you get to see abnd hear a lot of things. but your right it seems as though some of these guys (if they were going to cheat/) would at least cheat with someone as pretty as or prettier than hius gf/wife is .

good case example that's recent and in news is aronld swartzenagger and his fling .

his wife in my opinion is really hot ,i can't say that about the woman he had the affair with .

ya , I agree its just not a good or cool LOL thing to do.

however I get the feeling something must have happened in that area with you otherwise you wouldn't have posted the question . am I right? out of a 100% only 30% of these guys are more apt to cheat . the reasons the stastics seem so high is they don't let you know that much of them are based on multiple cheaters . by that one person cheating say 5 or more times. which if you stop and think about it a minority could drive up the percentages by those multiple cheats they do.

which leaves approximately 70% that as a rule do not cheat ?(they may get cheated on however)

what types of guys make up that 30% that do cheat and sometimes reqularly well brace yourself

its the guys that most girls condiser drool worthy badboy types / jerks / and or players

that have or seem to have a lot of sex appeal // tons of confidence to maybe somewhat cocky//

able to seemingly sweep the girl of her feet / these same type guys also generally have an

simialiar MO's . generally they may seem like nice guys at first but latter on show true colors

they begin to ignore the girl at their convience ,flirt with other girls in front of them, and if given the opertunity and chance will cheat because they know at times that the girl will either forgive them and if they don't they just move on to the next victim.

so I'm assumming here that you may have gotten hurt by being cheated on by this small group of 30% of the guy population.

if so make a change of the type guy you would normally pic as a boyfriend. you might be surprised by who that might be.

it really depends some guys just cheat becuase there hot and can get anyone

some guys do becuase the girl won't put out.. iv been cheated on a lot for refusing to have sex.. but ohwell..

iv heard that when a guy cheats he uses a different part in his brain and that's why they don't feel guitly about it like girls do when they cheat BUT that is not an excuse they still know right from wrong

and I honestly couldn't tell you why they go for uglier girls but I honestly have noticed that too

I am not sure about guys but I have a husband and a lover and my husband is really hot, great body. My lover on the other hand not so much but he gives me everything that my husband can't in terms of being a great lover, sweet, romantic, all around great guy so maybe those ugly girls are great people and those pretty girls are not so great.

This is an unfair question. You should rephrase it to, "What is the reason why some guys cheat on pretty girls with ugly girls". You seem to be accusing the entire male gender of this =(. Also, physical attractiveness does not by any means count for everything...personality definitely should be accounted for.

Maybe because those 'ugly' girls have more to offer than just looks, it could be that the guy was drunk, or the girl wasn't as ugly as the girl being cheated on makes it to be

Its not all about pretty, pretty is OK short term, personality and mental attraction is more important long term...
